Rear wheel alignment shim installation???

Post by Chiadog »

Has anyone installed rear wheel alignment shims on their Vibe? Does this require removal of the brake drum? Any other info?
My right rear wheel toe-in has a little too much toe-OUT.
Thanks,

UPDATE:
Did the rear wheel alignment shim job today! Very easy once you understand the weak instructions, although Midwest rust made separating the bearing carrier from the suspension sort of difficult. Didn't have the alignment re-checked, but the car no longer drifts left on the hi-way. Score!

I had an alignment shop install mine.

Hey K9,
What did they charge you for the rear alignment shim installation? One side only?
Doing it myself cost $12.00 for the plastic shim and 2 hours of labor.
An hour of that was hammering to break the rust bond. :D

I am also curious as to how much the shop charged. I'm putting tein s-techs on mine and someone else who installed the springs said he had a tiny bit of negative camber and had to shim the rear....
