It's a combination of colors used, shapes used, the layout of it all...Same thing with 3D. Old 3D comic books essentially were a red line and a blue line drawn right next to each other. When you put on the red/blue glasses, it made it stand out.Of course, it wasn't standing out...it was your mind interpreting it in a different way...
