Hi engine1, welcome to the forums! Are you the sole owner of a Vibe way out there in Chilliwack? What colour, options....is yours?

hi vw girl. It almost sounds like i have your car: abyss monotone, moon and tunes, power package, 5 speed, i put the mud guards on myself and the 'man-ziere'(bra). I've put almost 5,000kms on it already, i love every second i am in it, i know you will love your car. I spent two hours yesterday detailing it, i took a few pictures and will have them up on this site soon. p.s. we will have to meet at the mission raceway and see who has the quickest little black rat

Mission raceway...I don't know...never done that! But, seems you consider your car a black rat, while I see mine as a black cat... Don't cats eat rats?

Mission raceway has the fastest quarter mile in North America and on Friday and Saturday nights you can "run watcha 'brung", too much fun. I got some times for my bike there this summer, I can't wait to tweak the rat and see what happens.p.s. good thing cats have nine lives

Hi everyone! Vibegirl, i got your twin...It just came in a couple of days ago! I am just curious how long it took everyone else here in BC to get their Vibes? Judging by other posts across Canada, it seems I got lucky....about 4 months. I hope to see you all on the roads...

Hey all......... I have a Shadow Vibe GT...... no mud guards or manzier.... no 17" rims. or bumper protector..... i do have a 6 speed and a lot of fun though........... lolJust tinted my windows just the rear 5....... looks very cool and will realy help in the summer to keep the heat down in the car. Hey engine1 just guessing but do you happen to be a fireman...... Any who not a large number of Vibes out here in Richmond...... Too domestic for the general population. Lots of Matrix though...... and so far no exact matches........ Had to get my Vibe brougth out from Victoria not a one here in LMD that had what i wanted............ Also love the Vibe much like engine1...... spend a lot of tiem driving and keeping it clean.............

mrdoopeyI started looking into the Vibes about 4 or 5 months before i bought it.... Once i decided on which one it took my car guy about 1 day to locate one in Victoria......... so my baby had 400 km on it when it arrived............ Oh ya vibegirl and engine1 about Mission Raceway. The Shadow knows what fear lurks in the hearts of base vibes...... its called a 2ZZ-GE engine...... Hope to see you some time

wow, thats great that u received yours right away. I think the real problem is getting an automatic base model, because I was told there were some of different colors available with standard transmission. I suppose I was too picky about color and options! As far as the java goes.....sounds ok. I would love to scope out some other BC vibes. .

i was pretty picky to..... first one they found had all sorts of option i did not want so made them look again....... He found this Shadow Vibe and I am glad he did cause i realy love the color. Java would be great maybe in Langley somewhere. You and Vibegirl live in Surrey and I live in Richmond and engine1 is in Mission so it would be the most central...... Can chat about it when the weather improves a bit...........thanks

Hey there,I want to get my windows tinted dark black. I do NOT want that reflective looking tint. Where did you get yours done? Are you happy with it? What was the cost? What percent did you get? And about that java...let's do it when the sun finally arrives!

I got my tint at at place here in Richmond. I think it is spelled AVERIX The guy did a realy good job.... I have had every car I own tinted and this guy did a good job. The tint I have has a slight mirror finnish to it.... It is 20% but it is a realy high quality tint. The reason it has a slight mirror is it has a very hight thermal blocking ability. (that is it blocks heat transfer throught he window) It is about 4 times better than regular run of the mill car window tint of the same percentage. I got this becasue I have a dog and like to keep the interiour temp as low as possible. The mirror finnish looks realy nice it has a slight bronze/gold tinge... As far as price.... he quoted me $170 for regular 20% tint..That is all the windows except the drivers and passenger side window. The stuff I got was a little pricey $250 including tax.....i will try to get some photos of it up soon. Just need a few nice days.......Java in the sun would be realy cool.p.s. i can get you the guys name for sure if you realy want it...

I've got limo tint on all 5 rear windows along with some angry rat decals in the smallest ones. It cost me 115 bucks for the tint job at a friends shop and about 25 for the decals. I will post pics this weekend!

I had limo black on my Mustang..... Way too dark for me...... i could not see out the rear windows at night...... The stuff I got gives me better thermal protection and is much easier to see out of at night...It stil gives me good privacy......Hope to get some photos up soon......Just need a little sun

I got mine the same day I went to the dealership (I spent a week doing some research though) on August 13, 2003. Of course I was in Michigan at the time. This isn't the best place to own a car though. I have no garage, get everywhere by bus or bike, and gas ain't cheap. And it's pretty depressing because Vancouver drivers love to put scratches in the front and rear facias and gouge up the door trim. No offense, but I've never seen such terrible drivers anywhere! But if you ever see the all Abyss-white Vibe with no front plate around Vancouver, that's me.

I'm sure the lack of advertising on GM's part in this area probably has something to do with it.As for GTs, I personally haven't seen one around. When I visited Edmonton last month I did see two.And 'older' people? What constitutes that? From what I've read the car is aimed for an average of 33 year olds. I'm right on target there.

I just got my Silver GT 3 weeks ago tomorrow. Pick it up from the shop tomorrow lowered with Eibach Sportlines and tinted rear 5 windows 35% (I think). I really like the car and there aren't too many out on the road (one of the reasons why I bought it) Can't wait to see how it handles...Friends were killing me saying it looked like an SUV or a Mustang (with the big gap in the fender well) and that's with the 17" wheel package...
