vibe meeting

Post by felixturcotte22 »

Hey everyone, i'm new to genvibe and I'd like to introduce myself, My name is Felix and I'm a big vibe enthusiast. I have a blue 2005 base vibe and a silver 2010 base vibe. I would like to meet people sharing the same interests and I was wondering if there's a vibe owner's meeting soon in the north-east states.

Welcome to GenVibe Felix! Unfortunately you missed a Vibe get together in Erie, Pennsylvania back in July. I would recommend checking out your regional forum to see if there are any more get togethers going on in your area anytime soon.

It's awesome to hear that you have 2 Vibes! I have a 2009 Vibe GT and so does my mom. There are actually quite a few 2 Vibe families on here, so you're in good company. Post some pictures of your Vibes when you get a chance.

Welcome Felix :D As you can see in my signature I am one of the many two Vibe families ;) Just like Carrie (J_TO_ENVY) & her mom, we too have a pair of Vibe GT's and love the power of the 2.4l engine. Mine is the Red one and has the manual 5-speed. My son's is the navy blue one and is an automatic. Then the wife had to out perform both of us with her G8 GT :x Anyways who drives your other Vibe? Where exactly are you located? (update your profile). You'll fit in real well here on this great forum. Visit often :)

Here's one I found in my files : the silver one had a hitch installed few months ago, the trailer was loaded my friends and the car wasn't bad at all for a 1.8l

I love the 2.4L! It's got quite a bit of get up and go, especially with the addition of the K&N CAI! According to Edmund's, the 0-60 time for the 2009-2010 Vibe GT 5-speed automatic is 8.9 seconds. I haven't personally tried it out, but may have to someday since it would be interesting to see whether the K&N CAI actually shaved a few tenths of a second off that time...

I like my car! However, for the gas mileage I've been getting lately, the power is a huge disappointment. The get up and go is great from start, and of course at high speeds not so much! I got the GT only because of the styling. I wouldn't have gotten one if I couldn't have landed a GT.
