Yesterday my roommates girlfriend's car battery died (08 Chevy Equinox) so we tried to jump it off my 09 AWD Vibe which was parked next to it.
Well, my roommate got to messing with the jumper cables while attaching them to her car and because they were hooked onto mine it sparked alot..
Today, I noticed the AIR BAG INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHT kicked on and is steady. I checked the fuse for the AB system and it was not burnt. However, I did notice a loose BLACK WIRE hanging from the MAIN BODY ECU which I cannot figure out what it goes to... I read it being something with the rear right door latch but it locks and unlocks fine.
I took it to Midas too and they don't do electronic work but scanned it anyways and no codes came up for it because the light didn't come on.
I also tried disconnecting the battery to reset but it still comes on.
I list all these because I don't know if they might have something to do with the problem. Could it possibly be shorted out trying to jump her car or maybe the loose wire? No idea.
Complex situation but any help would be appreciated as no one wants to shell out 100s of $ if they don't have to!

Thanks!
