ok.

I have been searching around and seems that the popular ones are Megan Racing and Tein Basics

I am also looking in to BC Racing coilovers. I should be able to get a good prices on them. most likely under $900 shipped.

I can tell you how to lower the rear, hitch a trailer on to it. :D My interests go the other way, I would like to be able to keep the original height while towing.

I honestly don't know why anyone would want to lower a car that has 6" clearance when new. To each their own though. Good luck.

Actually there is and simple inexpensive solution to levelling the rear-end with a heavy load. If you reduce the number of active coils the spring rate increases but instead of cutting coils off, if you jam something between coils you achieve the same result. I had 70 duro urethane donuts custom make for my 1.8l '09 but recently found that Longacre Racing Products makes a similar product http://www.longacreracing.com/catalog/i ... 45&catid=5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; avaialbe at Summit or JEGs. This increased the spring rate by about 10-12% on a spring dyno when the spring is compressed 1" per donut. I did this originally for performance and handling reasons to tune the stock springs without changing the ride height.

learn something new every day. lol

but, everyone has their own preference for their own car. whether they want to lower their car, track it, use it for just a daily, or actually tow stuff with it is simply up to their preference. :P love how diverse vibe owners can be with their cars. that is why im still on this forum!
