Dammit I hate accidents!!!

Post by ramenboy... »

So was driving in Naperville this afternoon, 2 cars ahead, prob someone texting, suddenly hit the brakes. Car in front of me slams on her brakes, hits the texter. Crap. I slam on my brakes and run into her.

Dammit I hate this sh*t!

The car that started the chain reaction left. When the PD came, neither of us got a ticket. But the ramen vibe has a broken nose. Seems to be driving ok. Dropping it off Monday morning for assessment ane repair. Don't know how long I'll be vibe-less

Have to remember to grab the voltz emblem before they replace the nose

Will post pics in a couple of days.

Sorry to hear it but at least sounds like no major injuries which is always good. First thing I thought was "oh no, what about the voltz emblem?!?!" Definitely don't forget that! Wishing your ride a speedy recovery!

D*mn... that sucks Jerry :(. At least it doesn't sound like the Vibe is too bad off and you didn't get hurt either which is the most important thing.

Good luck getting it repaired correctly and in a timely manner. Keep us posted.

Thanx folks,

Yup no one was hurt. Just needs a nose job. Hopefully it's smooth sailing

And yeah, I've got three different reminders for the voltz emblem :p

Sorry to hear that.

If the first vehicle left the scene (where typically both of the following drivers would get the blame for following too closely) this could actually be a staged accident by a ring where the two drivers ahead were working together. It is possible - where you get the blame for hitting the middle vehicle and that person runs to the attorney and treats at the chiropractor and you get the blame for the injury.

Just sayin'. Hope that's not the case.

well, 4 days later, the ramenvibe is back on the street!

had a chevy malibu for a few days. meh. i seriously couldn't get comfortable in the drivers seat. good side bolsters, no lumbar support, good adjustment, but i still couldn't get comfortable

anyways, new bumper covers (upper and lower), paint matches, hood closes fully and the seams align well. i looked at the front and something looked off... it was the freakin pontiac emblem. hahahahaha was so used to seeing a black/silver voltz on the front, that when i saw the red poniac arrow, it through me off.

anyways, thanx for the well wishes (even michelle... you talk too much. slow down :P). back on the street. will try to squeeze the voltz badge work in between some room painting and the cpd ride to remember.

and i still have to post pics of the damage before.

kincaid, hope it doesn't come to that. at any rate, the other driver said she wasn't injured, didn't want to call an ambulance. i took pictures of te damage to her vehicle too.

We definitely need to do a meet at Busse again like we did 2 years ago (although unfortunately I don't think we'll have quite as many Vibes as we did then since Tim and Aron have moved on, but they may still come with their new vehicles). A fall meet would be really nice weather-wise...

Plan it as far in advance as possible... fall gets into Chris's busy season with sports and whatnot. But we'll go (for real this time, as opposed to all of the other times where I totally didn't go)
