I agree, I saw that and thought it was a very ingenuous idea. Must help with keeping the amp nice and cool, right?

Cables ran

4" JL Audio in the kick Panel

2 Zapco 360.4 amps, a Zapco 500.1 amp and DIYMA Refrence 12 12" sub

2 more Zapco 500.1 amps and fused distribution on top of previous pic

Wish I could tell you, my amp is a 1-channel so it only powers my sub. They sound pretty good running off the HU's stock wattage though. Lost the thump the factory system had, but the highs are crisp and clear, and I have the sub for bass ;) Sounds amazing with our car's acoustics, hatchbacks are perfect for some bass.

but it sounds like a got Justin Bieber tied up in the back and kickin
Hey guys just deaden the hatch! Before I did my first SQ install I was pulling 150.2 (TermLab) at 60hz in a street beat box tuned to 45hz. With music I got rattles from pressure, When I went to SQ (only 133.2 Audiocontrol SA-3055 meter) I had more rattles from the hatch due to the enclosure being secured to the car and transferring the vibrations from panel to panel as opposed to just having pressure beat the hell out of everything. I added about 30lbs of deadener to the hatch and the cover and the thing never made another peep. It was a pain in the (removed) to open but it would shut itself after you pulled it down an inch. The only rattle I had that couldn't be cured was the muffler!

Deaden the hatch you will not be sorry.

have removed spare tire and made a fibreglass board to house my amps, did some LED edge lighting for the living loud sign, this is my first attempt at a build of this nature. I have painted the back side of the hinged floor black but dont have any pictures of it yet.

no i have Dual 5 inch fans mounted on either side of the panel that turn on with the remote, the fans and the lights are wired to a switch that is activated with the hinge when the panel is down the fans are on and the lights are off, open the panel and the fans turn off and the lights come on, I can run the system hard and the amps dont get any warmer than my friends who are mounted in the open.
