Underseat powered subs

Post by cptnsolo77 »

Anyone have experience with them? Come next year I will upgrade the factory HU to a Alpine unit. It has preamp sub outputs so that will give me an opportunity to put a sub in. Never had a sub before & dont want to lose space in the hatch. Not interested in installing an amp, I want to keep it super simple. Im not looking for ground shaking bass ( heck, I have Polk DBs with sound deadener in the rear doors & thats pretty good for me LOL ) & dont listen to much hip hop. Mostly alternative rock, latin salsa & dance music. These underseat units are a little pricey BUT may fit my needs. I love the sound of the Polks with M&T setup. A little more power & a sub and I may have a nice little setup that fits my tastes. Anyone have one ?

I have a small powered sub, JVC CS-BB2.

It fit under the drivers seat after fiddling around with the power inverter mount. Would be very easy to put under the passenger seat.

It fills the low end nicely for rock music, but has to be dialed back for anything with a lot of bass.

I'm actually consdering selling it soon if you're interested, my music tastes have just changed.
