It WILL be further south in 2013A Psycho Martyr wrote:Wish it was further SOUTH
Got a whole year to start planning it. On a brighter side, while most of the midwest was sweltering in 100+'f temperatures, we were somewhat comfy (upper 80's - low 90's) with a good breeze off Lake Erie. Had we held this anywhere else (like two years ago) we would have been miserable

I know, I love my antenna as well. I think it's the best thing Pontiac never did to these cars.kibble48 wrote:It was a real blast to meet everyone, I can't wait to do it again. I will add my pictures as soon as I get them off my phone. I did want to say thanks to tpoullaf for the "shortie" antenna at the meet, my old stock one was in sad shape with all the rubber cracked and crumbling off of it. The new one really looks good and I keep looking at it while getting in my car.

Maybe Yellowstone?star_deceiver wrote:Go west... California or Oregon coast!!!!

Just how far south are we talking about? lol Florida's a long drive from everyone else on heretpollauf wrote:It WILL be further south in 2013A Psycho Martyr wrote:Wish it was further SOUTH

I'd enjoy a meet at the Tail of the Dragon. I may be going there in the next week or so.dinopiratedavid wrote:Just how far south are we talking about? lol Florida's a long drive from everyone else on heretpollauf wrote:It WILL be further south in 2013A Psycho Martyr wrote:Wish it was further SOUTH

Also, I agree with Andy that next year should be a spring or earlier summer meet to avoid the unbearably hot weather.

Well thius location IS a bit further SOUTH as suggested by Brandon ..... BUT more west from where he lives. I'd definitely be in favor of the meet being more "centrtalized" so this Pontiac Illinois location just may work out. Early June at the latest should be the chosen date. Probably June 9,10,11!J_TO_ENVY wrote: as would a Pontiac, Illinois meet (I'd be willing to set stuff up as it's only about an hour and a half south of me).

Also YES a thread should be started and even though it's a year away, we can start planning it right now

And it's only eight hours away from me (ONLY). I'll be able to stop by my grandparents' houses, see my 101 year-old great-grandma (if she makes it to nearly 102. Her bday is early June), and keep going to Pontiac. Best part, no Chicago to drive through!! No missed tolls, no tire treads to be thrown at me, no brat in a bronze Mini... just corn..... Yay!!!!

Reason being, the 7th is a Friday, and the 9th is a Sunday. I'd rather not have a meet during the week. Lol
I looked at the wrong calendar. Those dates look good

I would sat the 8th would be a good date, seeing as I'll take Thursday and Friday to get there (I have the little ones who will not ride past 5 hours), That gives me saturday to go to the meet and take a nice run on route 66 (SAWEET!!!). Then it's Sunday and Monday home, unless the little ones fall asleep, then it's just Sunday home.KITT222 wrote:8th or 9th please! That's my request for dates.

Going a little further north from me but I honestly think one in Huntsville, AL would be good. Could get some really cool pictures at the NASA space and rocket center there too..tpollauf wrote:It WILL be further south in 2013A Psycho Martyr wrote:Wish it was further SOUTH

Well, my wife called a crapload of places to get goodies for the meet. GM was kind enough to send us some of what was left of the official Pontiac merchandise.chadhgraves wrote:That's pretty cool how you guys all meet up like that. Look like a good group of folks. Where did you get those Pontiac retro looking shirts? Those are awesome!

This would not make much sense for the majority of GenVibers who are NOT populated in Florida. Anywhere along the Ohio/Mississippi river areas should be good for another good turnout

I'm good where ever the majority lies, as it's almost the same amount of drive to either of those two locations. Win win for me is to be able to drive a dream road either way. LOLKITT222 wrote:Oh. Well then. That's more reasonable. My vote is still for Pontiac, but I could push that.
