Sold the Vibe

Post by AdmRose »

After two years, four months, 15 days and 42,000 miles I finally sold my 2004 AWD. Nothing wrong with her just that at 105,000 miles it was probably the last time I'd get a decent trade in value for her (I got $5400). Plus I wanted better MPG, not that the 27-29 I was getting was horrible. So since Tuesday I've been the proud owner of a 2010 Honda Insight, coincidentally ending my run of Pontiac cars (Grand Am>Aztek>Vibe) at six months shy of a decade. Some good memories with the Vibe; bought her two days before my wedding so she's the one who got decorated for the ceremony. Brought my daughter home from the hospital with her. But everything changes I suppose as hopefully I'll have my 45+MPG Honda for years to come.

Got it for $16,900 total when all was said and done. I'll post a pic when I get home.

Awesome! Though, I don't even get the "horrible" gas mileage you were talking about. I average 24 mpg most of the time. I wouldn't know how to act if I got 27-29!

My driving is about 80% highway so that explains the 27-29.

Sorry to hear you got rid of the Vibe, but glad to hear it gave you some good memories over the years. Best of luck with your "new" Honda :).

Is it a hatchback so you can go camping and stuff - how is the insight in snow without 4 wd?

Not sure. Never used the AWD on the Vibe; the two winters I had her weren't bad ones at all.
