Vibe= Future collectors item. Last product for Pontiac!

Post by Wingnut »

I just read on the internet that the Vibe will be a collectors item by 2020! The first generation vibes will start to GAIN value by 2016 and continue to grow in value as more and more disappear! You know what that means? I'm buying everything I can, now while it's easy to get. Your thoughts?

A 1st Gen Vibe with factory Navi could be collectible; since very few had that option installed, and it is hard to find one with it

I had the first gen Navi and I ripped it out. I got moon and tunes with navi and it sucked (in my opinion). Changed it but I still have all the original parts that were removed on week 3!!

Hmmmm .............. Lets see. Somewhere I read that the 2009 GT was produced at a ratio of ! out of every 20 Vibes (not sure if that is accurate). Then throw in a manual tranny (4-6% of all Vibes were manuals that year). Then throw in a modest driver who only puts 4000 miles/year on it. Add it all up = a DEFINITE collectors item in the future :D

You know what they say about rare cars - no one liked them in the first place!

That's a shame, what was wrong with the Naxi? I thought it made a better match than the sort of dull red lighting AMFM CD set up

i think the prob with the navi was that it was cd based. you had to load the disc to be able to use it, i would think the disc would have to be upated periodically.

I guess some people may want to have a Vibe as a "collector" car, but it doesn't seem special enough to me. Don't get me wrong, I still like mine, but it's hard to imagine it would be something special ten years from now.

However, if you want a truly rare Vibe, buy a 2003 Envy (green) one (if you can find one). See viewtopic.php?t=4773" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , only made Envy for a few months, total number built only 766.
