Question about Silicone Treatment for Window, Door Seals

In another thread, it was mentioned that we should treat our window and door seals with liquid silicone. If you do this, the rubber seals should last for decades and it keeps them nice and dark black looking. They showed me the bottle, it said nothing about treating rubber seals on it. Is this what I needed, or, for a change, are these people feeding me some BS?Please let me know what to get (or even take a pic of the bottle) so I know to get the right stuff...thanks!

There is a spray Silicon that you just spray on the rubber and wipe off but it leaves a film and your rubber will maintain it soft feel and look. I forget the name but I believe it is just called "Spray Silicon Lube" It works great!! I would apply every 3-4 months. James (Vibe)

Silicone is the correct thing to use on your seals/gaskets. STP, and others, make a spray can of silicone. You can apply directly or spray into a rag and apply for more "control". White Lithium is grease, and should be used on things like door hinges or other linkages.

Its sound weird but di-electric grease works extremly well too.
