how to remove Air filter >Cover<

Post by erick44 »

Hey guys, First question on Genvibe that I have and Not sure if this is in the wrong section, but if it is mods please move, My last car had a k&n filter (00 honda civic Hatch), I read online and some people removed the cover on their cars, So what the heck I decided to try it and boy did it help a little. I even got a bit of extra gas too and some nice noises. I was wondering if it is possible to do that with my 09 Vibe 2.4L? My last car didnt have a Sensor. Curious to see if anybody has done this with their vibes or tried removing the sensor. Thanks for reading.

I personally wouldn't try it. The filter is going to get dirty really fast without a cover over it and that could screw up the MAF sensor, or even worse, the engine itself. Just get a drop in filter i.e. K&N or aFe or a full intake i.e. K&N and do it the right way so you don't screw up your nice "new" Vibe ;).
