Another one bites the dust...

Everyone involved is ok. What was a two Vibe family is now a one Vibe family. Looks like it might be a total loss.

Noo... I'm sorry to hear that, but glad everyone is ok. Vibes have shown to be pretty good cars for protecting their occupants in a crash.

On the grand scale of things, that is all that matters.

Sucks to see another vibe gone, but it did its job.

How did the accident happen?

The wife ran into an older pickup truck.

Hardly a scratch on the pickup's bumper.
Her car was the about $10 from being totaled.
It didn't touch the motor or frame.
All sheet metal and stuff behind the grill.
It was a few inches from the ABS system.
If it got the ABS then it would have been totaled.

That's a shame. Glad that everyone is ok, though.

Other driver ran the red. I'm glad we T-boned them instead of them hitting our DS doors. My 3 year old was sitting on the DS. I keep thinking what difference a few seconds made. Lucky we were going the speed limit. She was only 2 months paid off. Brought my son home from the hospital in this car and drove all our family vacations in it. It was the first new car my wife ever purchased. Only 60k on it. Bittersweet. You never think this stuff can happen. I'm taking my other Vibe on a 16 hour road trip the next two days. Thanks for the kind words.

First and foremost, I'm glad everyone involved is okay. That being said, I am sad to hear about the Vibe . I know my parents and I would be devastated if we lost one of our two Vibes.
