Gauge backlights wont work

im in the middle of a 6 speed swap from a auto, and my gauge backlights wont work now. the idiot lights work, but some of them flicker when they shouldnt even be on at all. the needles light up, yet dont register and have lil phsyco fits at times. i have no idea what could be causing all this and i desperately need need help with this. plus, my passanger seatbelt light doesnt flash now, it comes on when it should, but it just stays solid. i have a 2004 vibe born with a auto and its gettin a 6 speed put in it. would the 5 speed PCM cause any of this?? PLEASE HELP!!!!

sounds like some wire got unplugged or damaged, and since I can't see why you'd pull the cluster to swap a tranny, can't offer any good advice on where to start looking

im doing a automatic to 6 speed swap, i had to pull the cluster to get to the top mounting bolt for the clutch pedal assembly. me and my friend have no idea whats goin on, he thinks its a ground, but i dont think the ground wires on the transmission being unhooked would screw with the gauges, but im definately no wiring expert. me and him are going to (hopefully) have the new transmission in the car tomorrow, and even if he cant stay to get everything hooked up ill get it hooked up and see whats goin on. i was thinkin it might be somethin to do with the wiring going into the PCM, so i need a wiring diagram going into the PCM for a automatic trans vibe/matrix and a 5 speed vibe or matrix, any help is always greatly appreciated, and could save me days of lookin for somethin stupid and easy to fix that we've managed to miss.
