2009 Vibe coilovers?

Post by blackrayne »

I've been doing a ton of googling lately because I want to lower my car, but there's not much available in the way of coilovers. I don't want to just do the lowering springs, my boyfriend, the car guru of the two of us, highly recommends coilovers over the springs and from my research, I tend to agree with that option.

Anyway, has anyone had any luck finding coilovers that will work on a 2009 Vibe? I've been watching some Megan brand ones on ebay, though they are technically for the Corolla (though since it's the sedan version of the Matrix, I'm thinking they might work). I contacted Raceland because they are expanding their lines to include a larger range of vehicles, but as yet they have no plans to make any for the Vibe unless they get enough interest from owners (I did write back to them to let them know about the Matrix and Corolla being of the same "family" too, so hopefully that will help create enough of an interest for them to put a line into production for us).

So basically, what I am wondering is if anyone has had any luck finding a company that is making coilovers for the newer model Vibe/Matrix, or have you used the older model ones with success on a newer model?

I'm running 1st generation lowering springs on my 2009, so would think there would be a good probability that a 1st generation coil over would also work just fine on a 2009-10 mode.

Out of curiosity, which springs are you using?

Sorry didn't see this until today

And now I seem to think you've sold or are selling the Vibe? :(

but anyway, I am using the Tein H-Tech. Others have used the S-Tech w/no problems either.
