It did turn out with 'waves' in it...they dont bother me. I used the spray cans and didnt go all out with the Wagner Paint gun. The garage was open and took breaks between each can.vit wrote:I hope it looks better in the morning... did you at least catch a buzz?

No problem...it can peel right off with no damage to the paint! Its not permanent and may only last about 12 months or so, depending on conditions.joatmon wrote:JVibe wrote: I know this isnt everyones cup of tea,
The car looked pretty nice before, so I wouldn't have done that but ...

Hope it holds up well.
No primer, just washed it well and dried it.SnowFish wrote:Some day time pictures would be great. Did you primer first? or just let it buck?
Plasti-Dip is a rubberized coating. Similar to the rubber coating on tool handles. This is just an unusual way of using it!crazytrain wrote:Clue in the clueless (me). What is that stuff supposed to be used for?
Actually, not that much, as I used it straight from the spray can. I started using the restoration kit on the drives side headlight. I might have to go to the next step, as it is only a slight improvement. You can still see a small dofference in the two though.KITT222 wrote:I've been waiting for someone to PDip a Vibe. Well done! You could use a headlight restoration kit, and make it look that much more awesome. How much Plasti-Dip got into the door jams and in the panel gaps?
Yes sir! Its cooler in Pooler, lol! I didnt want to run out of product and I'll probably just clean them up and leave them silver.Blanco_Diablo wrote:What's up Pooler viber! I've lived in both Savannah and Rincon... those summers always did a number on my decals! It will be interesting to see how that paint job holds up. Definitely will stand out against the rest of the vibes down there! You went all-out man, you even painted the rainguards! How come you left the roof rails silver?
We shall see. I'll keep everyone updated on how it holds up.star_deceiver wrote:Very interesting! Wonder how it will hold up under the sun and at highway speeds...
I just wanted to do something different, I knew more wouldnt like, than those that do...09vGT wrote:My opinion; some of you guys are going nuts on the Plastidip. Not a fan at all. I do not like this AT ALL.

Yes sir! I have Race Deck flooring installed and I love it! The garage is the home for my 2003 Corvette, the Vibe only sees the garage for maintenance.crazytrain wrote:Thanks Jimmy.JVibe wrote:Plasti-Dip is a rubberized coating. Not my cup of tea, but as long as you like it that's what matters.
On a positive note, I really like your garage floor. Gives me an idea for my garage which is bare concrete.
LOL! Settle down Ethan09vGT wrote:My opinion; some of you guys are going nuts on the Plastidip. Not a fan at all. I do not like this AT ALL.
