Here's a couple of variations to updated our logo/sticker. I think it's more updated and not quite as "Flintstones" looking. What do you think? UPDATE: Here's another couple... If you like, which one?
First off, don't like 'em! Second, they WILL be more expensive to make! Third, I have my Flintstone's one on my car and it's staying there! Nice try though....
‘03 Vibe with 317k and still going.............................
It looks good, but between the old one and yours, I too like the current logo. I think you should take out the word "dot" and just put a period in there. You also may want to change the 1zz and 2zz enthusiasts to something about Pontiac Vibe enthusiasts. Just a suggestion.

I agree, the flinstones look isn't cutting it...I pulled the GVC decals off my windows a day or two ago because I just was not liking the look of that logo anymore...
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
I like these alot. i would also put these on my vibe. The flintstone ones look a little too kiddy. These are more of a upbeat and fresh design.I wouldn't spell out the "dot" cause people may think that it's a different site. I know it's hard to say but some people just have no common sense.

I like the general look of these logos as well - minus the DOT spelled-out. Personally, and as a few have already mentioned, I do not care to put the GenVibe decal on my vehicle due to the 'elementary' look of the current GenVibe logo - a more modern and 'high-tech' looking logo would be preferred. The MatrixVibe.Net logo is good looking - as it incorporates a nice clean font and the tach.I'll see what would need to be done to get a new logo design started - preferrably through suggestions and input from GenVibe members. Updates will follow soon.
Thanks for the input, guys. I'll do some concepts without the "dot"There reason for "1ZZ and 2ZZ enthusiasts" is because of our bothers and sisters with matrices and celicas that frequent the board. In all standards, the matrixvibe.net logo is horrible. More than one font can be used in a design if done with skill. But a logo is different story. Take for example, any major company you know of. How many fonts/typefaces? Plus, the matrixvibe.net logo is way over done. I've seen sooo many boards and clubs with the "tach" design. Cliche... Our cars are different. Let's show it!
HOLY CRAP! Where did that come from! That freakin' sucks!!!!! Back to Illustrator I go...I can't believe that! It happens so often. Come up with an idea and of course it's already been done...nothing new under the sun, I guess...And I don't appreciate being called a cheater/theif. I pride myslef in coming up with new and original ideas. Sometimes, they're just not. This is what I do for a living, so, I take it quite seriously. Just tryig to give us a new, updated look.
On the "1ZZ and 2ZZ" thing, I guess it depends on why you want the new logo. If you want to attract new members that have more than just a general knowledge about the car already, then they'll know what you mean by 1ZZ and 2ZZ. If you want to attract the average current or prospective Vibe owner, they probably wouldn't know what that means, and then not being a ZZ enthusiast, they might not bother checking out the site. I'm not particularly a 1ZZ or 2ZZ enthusiast myself. I just like the car.
quote:oh boy, another contest?Probably not this time - we'll take suggestions, examples, etc.quote:Plus, the matrixvibe.net logo is way over done. I've seen sooo many boards and clubs with the "tach" design. Cliche... I agree - I've seen it elsewhere, I was just comparing it to our logo.quote:If you want to attract the average current or prospective Vibe owner, they probably wouldn't know what that means, and then not being a ZZ enthusiast, they might not bother checking out the site. I agree here as well. Something more general - or not even necessary as GenVibe.com works - gets the point across and hopefully a new Vibe/Matrix member will check out the site.
Not being self-centered but IF we did make a new logo for a decal/sticker, would everyone put it on their cars? There isn't too many people with them now! Just a thought!

I really like those, just take out the "dot" like they said. I like how they are more sharper looking, not the cartoony look.Later,

I think the "Genvibe.com" part is a little too small. It would be hard to see on the car when driving by.

How about something that matches the font of the vibe logo? here's a rough cut at something like that, not as close to the badges as I wanted, but close enough to get the idea across.
DAMN.....i wish more people liked your idea SAVED, b/c i love them....so sophisticated...even the dotcom spelt out is something i am seeing very young and stylish companies start to encorporate into their own logos. even the zz enthusiast part is great b/c it reeks goofy when you try to write a sentence about forums and info for pontiac vibes and fit it all on a sticker.if they went into production.....i'd have four!Saved....real nice quality job you did there....in a marketing class i you would have recieved high marks for those as they are exactly what companies are trying, but struggling to come up with!!now....as for this one: well i have to admit something like this is way more likely to go into production as it is simple and easy to make and peeps really cant hate anything about it......i do like the vibe font idea....very clever.....i'd have this on my car....just not as exciting as the ones Saved made up.

nah....we wont attack you....1zz and 2zz are the factory codes for our engines.....its kind of a big deal b/c corollas, matrix', celicas, MR2s...they all have our engine in them so it relates us to them. 1zz is the 140hp engine or as toyota would have you think; 130hp....the 2zz is 180hp.

I wouldn't like the one that matches the font of the Vibe on the car due to the fact that soon i'm gonna take those off. possibly this week-end. Need a nice hot day.

The fourth one almost looks Pontiac-esque...but honestly, I think nothing makes a worse logo than just using a fun font (as it appears was done with the current one...)

Yours is good saved...but I'm unsure how I feel about .com being spelled out, and i don't like the 1zz and 2zz line...How about JUST genvibe.com? Wonder how THAT would look...

ehhhh....kinda big and plain for car window...i dont want to be a rolling ad for genvibe. and i cant figure out if those 3 triangles at the right are supposed to be something?????

saved, i do like the color scheme and also the whole eye appealing look to it better than any other ones. however, i stick with the dot com being .com and wonder about the case. i tend to prefer the lowercase when refering to anything .com-ish. i like your 1zz and 2zz enthusiasts as well, because it gives a better notion of the enthusiasts part. people will most likely assume you're talking about a vibe since it would be on a vibe... one would think. can you play around with the case a little more?
quote:How about something that matches the font of the vibe logo? here's a rough cut at something like that, not as close to the badges as I wanted, but close enough to get the idea across. That's the only one I've seen so far that I'd consider putting on MY car. Anybody know where to get a copy of this font, or what it's called??
I agree that the current logo is a bit...how do you put it....not ever gonna be on my window. However as I am superficial (and a sucky speller) I would prefer any of the new designs to grace my back window. I like to race and show of my car as most of you do. I like the aggresive looks and would prefer that the new emblem or logo be multicolored, not huge as to block out the sun. The black and red go great. Lots of great ideas have been put forward definately would buy one of the new designs in whatever style it comes out in but please no dot com one word is good. Just my two pennies.

i agree whole heartedly with you, celtic. i would not put the current sticker anywhere near my vibe. i've always been a fan of red/black/white color combo. whatever it is, i'd probably get it. i think the genvibe.com logo in font like the badging is a NEAT idea, but dont think i'd put that on my car either. still a bit cheesy for my tastes. i like a clean smooth look, san serif and not scripty.
