I had the same question. Just got this from a Pontiac customer relationsmanager:"The incentives that we were offering did expire on September 2, 2003. At this time we are not extending the incentive program. We do not have incentive information available until the day that it is released. When it comes time for you to take delivery of your new Vibe we suggest contacting us at 1-800-762-2737, or your local dealership for any incentives that we might be offering at that time."

According to the press release, the Vibe has a $1500 rebate in lieu of the financing. This is in effect until 1/2/2004.

I'm surprised the incentives are not greater in the current auto environment. Extra supply must still be relatively small. I had a difficult time finding a '04 5-spd base in ANY color or options.

Is this $1500 on both 2003 and 2004 or only on 2003?

OK - I went to the Pontiac site - it is $1,500 on 2004 models. Was $2,000 on ther 2003's.Interesting because I have someone that wants to buy my 2001 PT and my interest is in a Mazda MPV. My Vibe essentially replaces what I bought the PT for - a small versitile car. I would like something a bit bigger for long road trips. The 2003 MPV rebates are $2,000, but if the 2004 rebates are as high as $1,500 I'd rather wait for a 2004 since I tend to trade when the warranty is up (MPV has a 4 yr 50,000 mile bumper to bumer). There can be a big difference in used car value between a 2003 bought in Sept. 2003 and a 2004 bought in October 2003.
