DONE!Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8bjXV0jP1wIt may not be done processing yet. Give it some time.
Totally awesome! Congrats on getting into rally-type racing.I wish I saw more Vibe's in rally or autocross. A Vibe GT would make a good 2WD rally car for the Max Attack 2WD Rally Series.
Thanks everyone!Quote, originally posted by J_TO_ENVY »Great pictures Tim and congratulations on doing so well ! I was disappointed to see you weren't rocking the neon green steelies though .Even thought I tried I couldnt get them finished in time. :/ They are doing ice trials on a lake in WI in February. I will be doing that. Any of you guys and gals willing to go?

Any of you guys and gals willing to go?Well, I definitely can't wait to see the steelies on there! I think they're gonna look awesome!I might be interested in going. I don't know if I'd want to participate (I'd be too afraid of wrecking the Vibe ), but it might be fun to just go and watch...

It's completely flat. http://vimeo.com/9864843http://www.yout ... LzckZZlDPQ

The course and the parking area was over 15" thick. That is more than enough to hold the cars. They have ONLY had anyone fall in when they go off the marked places like that guy did. He lucked out and only had mild water damage to the interior. The car still runs.
Such fun!!!Still waiting for a decent cold snap here... The ice is only 6" thick and while that will technically hold the Vibe I prefer to wait until the SUV's are on the ice and it's at least 12"!!!

Hard to miss your car out there... unless it falls through the ice. (Slinks away from the thread in shame.... )

we have ice racing here too, however it's a bit more... involved because it's wheel to wheel. That would be more considered like our winter rallycross series which is autocross on snow, ice, gravel, dirt anything other than pavement. One car on course at a time so unlikely to have major damage. Of course, 2 yrs ago, the first winter rally cross, my co-driver took my STI into the snow bank twice and caused $2500 of damage. The upside is that stemmed my regular co-driving of his car for autocross, 2009 Nissan GTR. He paid to have the front bumper replaced, and I still got to drive his car (and him mine to finish off the season).

I remember viewing all the pics and it truly looked like a lot of fun. Where else can you "slip & slide" on ice knowing that you're not going to crash into anyone/anything!
