In a previous post I described how water leaked through the moonroof and dripped out of the switch/light cluster. The problem was the weatherstrip around the glass. GM dealer quoted me $325 for just the weatherstrip, the same part at Toyota was $28. The moonroof was out of alignment, fixed that but still had a massive leak. The motor/drive gear had jumped a tooth, fixed that. Installed the weatherstrip, put it all back together and only had three drips in one minute at one corner.I ended up having to take the entire moonroof assembly out of the car because I ran the moonroof through an open/close cycle without the glass installed. When I did that the cables pulled out of the glass mounts and went so far back into the assembly that I couldn't reach them without taking the whole thing out. Fixed a d__ned irritating rattle too--one of the moonroof assembly mounting nuts was loose. The headliner removal procedure in another post on here worked great. The service manual from sublimewind was right on, just the literal translation from Japanese made for a little head scratching.I'll post pics and part number here in the next couple of days. The job wasn't too difficult. Cheers to all!

This is looking into the carriers that the moonroof glass mounts to. The glass and the motor assembly has been removed, and the view is looking down. The two marks on the carrier need to be in a line with the line on the end of the cable, which sits between them. I had to take a Q-tip and some brake cleaner to clean the grease off so I could see the mark on the cable end. Remove the motor assembly with the roof fully closed! Do not run the motor at all without the glass installed, or there will be lots of swearing.
The weatherstrip must cover the outside of the glass. The easiest way I found to do that was to get the weatherstrip on the glass first. Then turn the glass so the inner surface of the glass is facing you. Start at the dot and use your thumbs to 'roll' the weatherstrip onto the glass so that it covers the outer surface of the glass. The gap between the glass and the weatherstrip is before 'rolling'.
You can see that the blue mark is not aligned. You have to take off the metal cover (one screw) to see the alignment marks according to the service manual.
Remove the motor from the assembly to align the gear. You can see it in the background. Be very careful when reinstalling the motor not to kick the gear out of alignment again. It took me a few tries to get it.
