Matrix Yellow

Anyone know if the Matrix yellow is metallic or flat? Also, is it a "true" yellow or is is kind of an orange/yellow, like a school bus color...or the Cavalier yellow. Help anyone--if you've seen it in person.

I saw one in person, and it looked to me like a "flat" yellow, not metallic. It was yellow. I mean it was YELLOW!!!!!! in your face, no way to miss it yellow. Looking directly at the sun yellow. Still have black spots on my retinas yellow. (can you tell that I didn't particularly care for it yet?) rasermon linked in some pics at http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=5433. The shade of yellow displays fairly accurately on my computer, except the pics were taken on a rainy day. I saw one on a sunny day. The yellow was much more intense.

I agree with joatmon. I walk over a parking lot this morning and I saw one. The yellow is kinda flat, not metallic at all.

Phooey...I've been on the lookout for a bright yellow metallic paint and I can't seem to find one anywhere. I'm thinking of doing some interior painting of blue and yellow, and I want a bright yellow metallic...if I can't find a metallic then I'll just do yellow...oddly enough, this yellow is the closest I've found to what I'm looking for....Also, I've been searching and haven't found a yellow paint code. Matrixowners doesn't have it either...argh!

I can't find that Matrix yellow color code either but the Celica and MR2 have a yellow called "Super Bright Yellow" with the code: 576. However, I don't believe it's metallic.

For sure, celice yellow is not metallic as well.Cacathy, what do you thing about the yellow of the mustang, i mean the one of '96 Mustang, not the new one. It looks better then the Toyota one.

I'm not sure if I've seen that yellow... Acura has a metallic/pearl yellow for the NSX but I have yet to see it in person...if that looks like what I want then I will go with that...otherwise I'll prolly use the Matrix Yellow for my interior highlights. However I'm not sire of my odds on seeing an 89,000 Yellow Acura either on the road or at the dealer...It's times like this I wished I had done a red white and blue theme...oy

A good paint shop can brew up whatever you want, CaCathy. When I was getting a quote on doing my Vibe over in yellow (yes, joatmon: Just the shade you described above!), the foreman showed my their blending process. They had the "recipe" for nearly every production colour, and could custom-blend from there. I looked at various pearls and metallics and he would have done up test panels in any I was interested in.
