I won an ebay auction yesterday for a real Gentex autodimming mirror. It's new, in the box, with warranty card, manual, connectors, etc. Under $20 shipped. I think I must have been pretty lucky. Granted we'll see when I get it. I've already received the USPS notice that it has shipped. Should be here mid-week.
Post pictures when you get it and how the install goes. I would like one for my 09 Vibe, but since the OnStar is build into the mirror, it is a no go as i do not have too much time to hunt around for one out of a wrecked vehicle.

I will do that. I lucked into this one. Had a buy-it-now of like $45 and it was relisted from like 2 months ago when I almost bought it for that. I usually don't have the patience to wait it out. But I did this time. The actual price of the mirror was $13.27 plus like $5.50 to ship priority. I would have liked one with the compass in it as well as map lights, but I couldn't pass up the price.I've seen the on-star ones on ebay but I can't remember the prices...
I would have taken photos had it not taken about 5 minutes to do. It takes a T-25 torx bit to remove the old one. A phillips to take off the cover from the light/sunroof controls. One more phillips head screw on the controls below. Slide it to the one side and it pretty much pops out of the headliner. I the wiring disconnected at the clip easy enough. I connected the hot wire for the mirror to the switched 12V (larger black wire) and then the ground to the larger black on white wire which came up as ground on my multimeter. The new mirror slid on the mount, tightened down with the T25, connected the "harness" on the back of hte mirror. Turned the key on and i had power. Put the sunroof/light controls back on and put my tools away. I was out there maybe 10 minutes.
