well as a former owner of a 69 GTO, all I can say is:THEY (Pontiac) can keep it. Why couldn't they do something like the upcoming mustang (e.g. very late 60's early 70's looking). Then I'd be interested. the only simlarilty w/ the new "goat" is the 66-67 looking badge.
The new GTOs make me sick, They look like Grand Am's with diff. lights and no side spikey things on the doors, obviously they are more powerful, but I'm not a big fan of Grand Am's Nothing compared to the infamous judge or the '67 GTOs. -=Paul=-
I kinda like the look of it. Very clean, very shapely. I saw the real Holden Monaro when I was in Australia a few years ago and I remember saying to myself "they ought to market that car in America," along with the Commidore. And I almost crapped myself when I saw it at one of the auto shows. If I had 35G's I would definatley buy it .
quote:"they ought to market that car in America,"I've thought that for a while also. No I'm not real wild about the styling of the new GTO, but G.D.!, LS6-V8 torque twisting the REAR wheels, being mixed with a REAL manual transmission, and can haul 4 people in decent comfort. I can't afford one, but I'd love to take one out for a spin.
quote:Holy **** have you heard that sucker start up and rev?? Go to http://www.pontiac.com/gto/ and listen!! Sounds like our 69' Chevelle SS 454!Sweet!
