i've used plastx on my headlights and it did work with making them clearer It also works on the interior gauges. Quite a few members have had good success with this stuff.I've never used the turtlewax stuff but if your lights are really bad, it might be cheaper to buy that kit instead of buying the meguirs and paper seperately.and fyi -- whelan posted a how-to:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=32206
I used the 3M kit recently on some really bad Grand Caravan headlights and had great results. The 3M kit can be had for about $18 at WallyWorld; it comes with 3 types of buffing pads, a foam polishing pad and polish. After completing the lights on the ManVan, I had enough material (pads and polish) to do the lights on my Ranger...and those turned out great too. In fact, the 3M kit includes so much polish that I'm just going to polish them out w/the foam pad every Spring from now on. One thing to note: Some of these headlight kits come with a final-step sealer...the 3M does not. However, I would think any decent nanowax spray applied periodically (I nanowax my cars twice a month) would be fine.

Forget the kits. Get yourself some wet sanding paper. Get really smooth grit like 2000, 2500 and 3000. Then start with the rough, work to the light. Once done, you can use the PlastX to buff with a machine. The results are amazing. Just go onto Meguair's forums and see results.
