Questions on 2009 Vibe GT Front Fiscal on base 2009 Vibe

Post by TheLadiesViberator »

Hello everyone, I just joined! I had a question. I recently bought an 09' Vibe 2.4l, and I've begun making it into a GT model basically.. I had a question about the whole front fender on the GT models. Do you think dealers would replace the front fender/fiscal with a GT front fender/fiscal including fogs, for a reasonable price? Thankyou! P.S. If there's any other ways that people have done it, tell me. I did use the search engine a few times and got nothing.

I'm sure it would be an easy swap for any body shop. Just like if you were in an accident. I'd just get several bids from dealers/autobody shops and see what the cost is.FWIW, I will do the same thing - but only if and when needed. (I already got my GT spoiler - you can get one for $189 plus shipping from an online source.).

Welcome to GenVibe! The dealer will NOT do that for you. period. That is something you would need to do yourself or have shop do for you. The question is...why didn't you buy a GT to begin with?

Why wouldn't a dealer do it? They don't like to make money?BTW, it's a front "fascia".

Well we had some GM savings plans because we have had GM vehicles for 10 years or something, and it was only valid on certain vehicles when buying. Most of the high performance cars weren't on the list. The Vibe we bought was supposed to sell to us for 19k, we got it for seriously 11k. So i really didn't care. Great buy :D But i mean i have the same engine, almost the same wheels. So why not throw down a little more.

I wanted the non-GT - I like the seats and the wheels better. I wish I had the IRS though (even if that makes aftermarket exhaust more problematic). I do prefer the GT front fascia, side skirts and rear diffuser. If I could have got the color and price I wanted, I probably would have got the GT and then I would only be looking at some Katzkin seat covers and wheels.

From the episode, "The Alternate Side"¦Jerry: I don't understand, I made a reservation, do you have my reservation?Agent: Yes, we do, unfortunately we ran out of cars.Jerry: But the reservation keeps the car here. That's why you have the reservation.Agent: I know why we have reservations.Jerry: I don't think you do. If you did, I'd have a car. See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them.

I'm saving up for the GT spoiler option and the rear diffuser. I think they can just order the rear diffuser OEM or whatever and I can put it on. it looks very simple. As for IRS, I wish i had it too, it can always be added on later professionally, just more money. But i doubt im going to make any extreme turns soon, or ever really. I'm also going to do a custom exhaust. Give more horses.

Let me know if you need a link for the GT spoiler. Last I checked it was for $189 so I think about $209 shipped. My local dealer charged me $89 to install it.

GM Parts Direct has the spoilers on sale for $189. You'll need to search for the correct color. This is for the silver version.http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/r...71939

That's the one! Best price I could find by far. Don't be discouraged if it is on back order. Took another place about two weeks or so to ship mine (I paid $229 shipped because I found gmpartsdirect.com too late - remember, they don't have the lowest price on everything).
