first of all... Welcome The reason there's not a Lava thread is b/c no lava owners have started one. You could either post a new thread following the other color thread's format or just edit this one and ask a Mod to change the the thread name to "TEAM LAVA: post your lava only vibe pics here!" or something like that post it and they will come... haha
I just spent the day waxing my lava. Now it's all shiny and red.

Adding myself to the team!Fresh professional engine wash has been made 1 month ago... I didn't expect them to have the plastic parts Armor All'd!!They did a great job.
I think Lava is the most attractive color ever available for the Vibe and would probably have a new one by now if the color was still offered. The new Red Hot Metallic just doesn't cut it for me - looks like I'll get the Navy Blue Metallic next time around. As you can see by the picture my cat loves it, too. What's the trick for posting photos within the message?

I'm certainly no gearhead, but 180 hp Celica GT engine is darn fun to scoot around in. The test drive sold this car for me, and after two puny four cylinder manual transmissions, I feel like I can finally show off my skills.I would love to hear from other Lava Lovers about any upgrades they've done. Has anyone tried Mother Black or something similar on the grey exterior trim to darken it? I was also wondering if anyone has ever switched out the plastic trim pieces to turn it into a monotone? Would that just be wacky?

Hi I am new to site and I seen ya'll had a lava team. I love my Vibe and told my husband when I was looking for a new car that it had to be red. Well the vibe was my second choose and the first car I looked my husband told me no on because he found something wrong with it. So the vibe was ment for me. I named Scarlet. And here are here pictures. My daughter at the age of three is into cars just as much a I am. It's my husband's fault.
hey there DiYgrrL, the best thing i've found for the annoying plastic is Back To Black. its made by Mothers i think and it works great. i've added subs in mine, and i've loved it since day one. have fun with yours!
I like how you blacked out the grille. Tastefully done. Bravo!Where did you get the rear bumper skin? Were you in a fender bender? Im looking for a rear bumper myself.

Thanks! I wasnt in a rear end collision, it's the original bumper, the previous owner was a pretty avid bicycleist and he put a sort of grip tape on the back bumper to keep the bike wheels from scratching it up. He must have had some extra of it afterwards because it is the same stuff that's on the grille, but I love it! As for the rear bumper, I'm not quite sure where you could get one, maybe try eBay or craigslist. Or maybe a local junkyard. Best of luck!
