German Vibe

Post by JSCampbell »

Here is my 2003 Base.I finally put it on the road this year, it loves the autobahn, but it needs suspension work for highspeed and the curves. (Getting embarassed by Golf GTis)It does however like Germany better than the Yukon! LOLCheers http://www.manitoo.net/vibe.html

a rear sway bar and front strut bar may also help with the cornering issues

Ah the EU headlight issue. For 1600€ I had the TÜV make a dispensation for the lights, allowing me to drive with them. They also disconnected my front parking lights and added clear ones, and turned one of my backup lights into a rear fog light with a red lens.I will post some pics of the TÜV mods a.s.a.p.Plans are Better brakes, swaybars, struts, 17" or 18" wheels, then to see if the stock Corolla chip will work. The stock 1.8l Corolla here has over 192HP, must investigate...

Aha! The 01-06 German Corolla came with the 2ZZ-GE 1.8l @ 192HP (VVTL-i) as an optional engine. The 05-06 had an optional Turbo 1.8 VVTL-I 16V TS COMPRESSOR (ZZE123L) rated @ 225HP!I wonder if I could bolt that into my Vibe? Thanks Wiki for the info.
