torque #'s

can anyone tell what are the right torque #'s for the steel and alumium rims.......i ahve both just not sure what to torque them to.thkz

If I remember right, the manual said 76ft/lbs.

I suggest getting a second set of lug nuts. The aluminum wheel lug nuts have washers. They have a tapered end to hold your steel spare. But I would not run the originals all winter w/ steel rims. I have to get a set myself. I have seen them for $30 to secure all 4 wheels. Nut size 12mm x 1.25...per my dealer. BUT I HAVE JUST CONFIRMED THE NUT SIZE IS 12 x 1.5 as most already know.

Uh - pretty sure that should be M12 x 1.5 - no? Can't find my thread guage, but I'm pretty sure they're 1.5 pitch....

when my dealer ordered the rims @ cost, he looked up the lug nuts. Showed me on the computer 12 x 1.25...But they were about $5 each from the dealer at his cost. I have a nut off an old Jap truck that happens to fit the Vibe. I'll go to the auto store and see where it threads onto their sizing display. ...UPDATE: the thread size is 12 x 1.5 . Dealer was wrong.

NO! 76 ft.-lbs is for all wheels. I have been acustom to 100 ft-lbs for cars lug nuts also. But these nuts are tightly spaced. So 100 is not needed or the 12mm threads can't take 100 ft-lbs.

So I am about to do a brake job.can anyone tell what the torque # for the calipers are...i know that the rims are 76lbs.but need to make sure everything is put back on right.

Make sure you don't lube any of the bolts you are torquing... Seriously, it changes the spec by reducing friction and can change DRASTICLY... like say for instance 25ftlbs without lube to 75+ftlbs WITH lube... Just a quick tip...
