FAILED VA Inspection!

Post by savedbyzero »

Yes, I failed safety inspection because of bald front driver side tire. Why, you ask? Didn't get an alignment after I installed my Sportline Springs....DUMB! Now I gotta buy a freakin' Dunlop and get an alignment! So the lesson learned is, don't trust your instincts when it comes to your car being aligned. If you put springs on, get the darn aligned!

In NJ, they just passed a law that you don't have to get your NEW car inspected for 4 years! I don't need to get my Vibe inspected until 2007! It'll almost be paid for by then

How many miles did you drive after the spring install? I am going to have mine aligned early next week. That will be just over two weeks and about 400 miles since the spring install on mine. It was recommended that I wait a couple of weeks to do an alignment to let the springs settle. When was the last time you rotated your tires?

Had the springs since Christmas...Rotated tires in May. Doen't really matter at this point...Triton go get the thing aligned! Don't suffer like I am! Sometimes I question myself about this thing called a brain in my head!In Virginia, the inspection is every year...dumb.

Definitely going to get an alignment. Like I said, I was going to have it done after two weeks regardless. But going 8 months is a long time. I'm sorry to hear that you have to replace a tire.
