I am with you on this. For one thing, the GT engine really doesn't need much help. If you can stand to wind that thing up like it is supposed to be, it is stinkin fast. I am an old V-8 guy and it is very hard for me to get used to revving this thing like an old Bridgestone bike I used to own. I recently got a strut brace and a nice macined aluminum oil cap. I am big on looks. Have a short open air intake. I keep it clean. Have not painted the engine cover as it matches the outside color of car already. The dang GT engine, with Yamaha written on it, just don't need much help. I have been considering a header and complete new exhaust but I really don't think I would realize much from it, even in looks. I must keep in mind that this is my wife's little car. She was happy with the new wheels for Xmas and the tinted windows. We have a nice little plaque from a car show. Hey, hard to improve on perfection. 30 mpg, what else could one ask for???? That varies, I get 28, my wife gets nearly 32.
BlueCrush, that TB boring is one sweet deal! good find and how important is it to have the intake manifold port matched? cuz I'd imagine the intake manifold to be pretty difficult to take out. maybe not though
