Purchased Silver 06 Vibe Back in Late July, found the site off of someones Vibe pic on the internet as I was trying to get some inspiration on what to do with the Vibe. Im very impressed with the site, and hope to find other owners in the South Florida area that want to sign up....As of right now the car is in stock condition for the most part... We will call this picture the "before" Picture I do have a list of things that i would like to do, however because of a tight budget at the moment, I'm taking it in baby steps...

Actually, No...Im shocked at half the photos i take come out pretty well....One other thing i wanted to add to the list..Swap the dash cluster with one from an 03 or 04 Vibe / Matrix, (RED and Orange)however im not sure if that can be done easily as far as if the parts will retrofit or interchange between years....

After Careful Consideration, I think I would like to go with the '04 front end, I have been checking with the local bone-yards to see if i can find a platinum monotone one that is in good shape, Still no luck as of yet....The 05-07 does have the classy look, but the aggressive look is better...

Quote, originally posted by silvrhawk7 »Thats right, I forgot about that....I hope the shades aren't off by too much, Worst case i just get it repainted...BTW what really is LIFT???i just picked up some touch up paint from the dealer and the bottle says "satellite silver", so i double checked with the parts guy. he ran my VIN and the numbers matched up. maybe they just changed the name of the color. damron has a satellite vibe, and it looked a lil bit darker than mine when i saw it. it might just be that he's got so much $$ wrapped up in his vibe that he can't afford to wash it due to a fear of it falling apart (jus messin with ya damron )i'm not an engine genius, so i don't know exactly what it is, but the easiest way i can explain it is that once i hit 6,800 RPM's the timing changes(i think it's the timing, not 100% sure) and the engine gets a nice lil boost until you shift or let off the gas. my mom's friend actually thought it had a turbo in it because of that. he started talkin about me runnin a car with boost, and i asked what car he was talkin about. he said doesn't your vibe have a turbo?? lol now that i have an intake on it, it sounds and feels more like it's got one. at about 6,000, you start hearin a lil whine as more air get sucked in as lift is about to engage, it's great

if you go to a meet and see someone w/ a GT or matrix XRS, ask em to give you a lift (yes, that was a pun). mike aka mrizzle hopped in mine at a meet because he's never experienced it before. he can tell you more about what the difference feels like because i've never driven a base model

Even though mine is a base; i know what youre taliking about, Mine has this whistle when it hits over 5500rpm and i even feel a little bit of a kick when that whistle kicks in (or maybe its just me, I came from a 4 cylinder S-10). I am looking into replacing the factory intake soon. Was going to wait until the warranty was up on the motor, but hey why not.....
