Hello Forum Members, I wanted to post a questiong about how the vibes handle because recently I seen some where that some mentioning having problems getting started or whatever from a dead stop? How does the vehicle do during rain when the roads and getting started?
thats gonna depend mostly on your tires!!!the stock ones leave a little something to be desired, but others say that better tires work awesome!!such as GY Triple Treads.
Suspension never caused me any starting or stopping issues in any weather... now tires. haha yes thats another story. Stock Continental tires from the factory are crap.

Mine has them and they're pretty good.In general, I've never had a handling problem. Not sure what is meant by handling problem from a stop. ???

I got my Vibe on May 15th, It rained almost every day during June and I had no problems at all from a dead stop or while traveling at highway speeds. Tires are the stock Goodyear Eagle RS-A.
My Vibe has replacements on the front. They are marked "All Season 55 Dominator". When I start on a slight incline when the pavement is wet, I sometimes spin my tires. When I first purchased the car and checked the psi, they were around 40, so I lowered them to 30 and had less of a problem. However, it still happens occasionally.Although I have the stick and would expect more torque off the start, I don't drive agressively and have rarely had this problem with any of the other stick shifts I have driven in the past (four different models). I can only attribute it to a powerful engine and less than stellar tire traction.
