What did your Dealership Offer?

Post by Pump233ca »

When you purchashed/financed or leased your Vibe, What did your dealer ship do for you? I had to install my own friggin plates....no pictures(like Saturn)no key fobs, no Oil Change Coupons....they wouldn`t even give me a deal considering the car had 863 kms on it!

I didn't get much as "extra's" are concerned, but out of the 2 vehicles I ever purchased new (an 2001 Cavalier (gone) and a Vibe), I never had to do anything myself except go home and rewash the vehicle. My Vibe was pretty dirty (exterior) due to it sitting outside for a couple weeks... I guess they tried their best.Didn't get any oil change coupons.. although some dealerships print their service coupons on their website (if you check your local dealership's site, you might find them).I did have my temporary license tag attached and all the features were given the once-around by the salesman.. but I knew more about the vehicle than he did, so it didn't last long. I don't expect much from a GM dealership.. especially when you are buying a vehicle less than $25,000 USD. I personally would only expect more "(removed) kissing" () from ritzier vehicle salesman. That's just my expectations. As long as the dealer is willing to deal with me, that's all I expect from them.

I got the in-dash, 6-disc stereo free, that's it. Basically it was because they couldn't find a Vibe exactly the way I wanted it so they got me one with everything but the 6-disc stereo and I had them install it. I told them I wasn't paying for it and I didn't.BTW, I installed my plate because I wanted to. I dislike others working on my cars and try to avoid it as much as possible.

My car was spotless when I picked it up, it had rained early and the morning and salesman told me he rewashed it before I picked it up that evening. Also got a full tank of gas and a box of chocolates, yes chocolates. This was more for my 8 and 4 year old sons, but they understand they cannot eat in the car !!My dealer was excellent, he gave me a good price, about 1000 off sticker and was very responsive.

No box of chocolates or any extras. But then again I got the GM supplier price which was only a little over invoice. The dealer had the rims and tires already on it. I paid $1200 extra for them which doesn't seem that bad. The dealer washed the car while I waited so it was pretty clean. The F & I guy also picked me up and drove me to the dealer which saved me finding someone to drive me there (about 30 miles away).

I got a free cargo mat, but that was because they were going to buy me out of my Cavalier lease until they learned it had no A/C. So they were going to give me some free oil changes but I asked for the cargo mat instead since I was going to buy it anyway. They also washed my car, installed my plates, filled the gas tank, went over the car with me, and gave me a tour of the whole building/service department.I also got a thank you card plus three more thank you letters within a month of getting it.But I paid full MSRP (well now it turns out I paid less than MSRP because it went up the day after I went in to order my Vibe).... so the MSRP listed on the contract I signed when I ordered my car and the MSRP listed on the lease contract when I took delivery is about $1000 difference (that I didn't pay).

The dealer gave me $500 under dealer invoice, because I went over the internat. he said if I would have come off the street it would have been $500 over invoice. Not to bad I think? Also a full tank of gas and a wash and wax to!

I got a free cargo mat and 1000 extra over the black book of my trade in because I said I wanted it. Unfortunately, In ontario we have to pay for our free tank of gas with the "gas tax" I also wasn't happy about paying for the security glass thing GM has, because they said I didn't even have a choice, I got it whether I wanted it or not. Well I guess some people are getting nothing, so i'll consider myself lucky...

I was about to be forced into paying MSRP for an Abyss monotone AWD that I ordered 6.5 months ago and was ready to be picked up yesterday. Instead, I walked into another dealership and bought an Abyss GT monotone with 17" and 6CD changer for $1000 under MSRP.I pick it up tomorrow night - I told my sales guy I fully expect balloons, streamers and a pinata when I arrive.
