Hi All.Here is the first pic of my new Vibe. Switched the rims at 700 miles. The new ones are SportMax Racing Rims. I believe they are made by Koenig. I like them, I guess thats all that counts. I just ordered the Vogtland 45 mm drop sport springs. Hopefully that will get rid of the high stance. I just joined and this site has been a wealth of knowledge, thanks.Forrest
welcome to GenVibe!! congrats on the two purchases hope they bring you much happiness and fun in th ecomming years . and yea more pics please and the car will look nice after the drop.
Welcome and nice rims! I've been struggling and debating and trying to figure out what to get. I'm glad to see someone can make a decision in 700 miles....:-)As stated, more pics...maybe a side shot with those sweet rims...are they silver and black?

hmm. i thought it wasn't a good idea to use full synthetic on a new engine til it was broken in (7500 miles) but i could be wrong.welcome and looks like you'll be pretty busy. what kind of graphics are you installing?
beer...yuummm depends on how sober you need to be to install them good luck and please do post pics! this can be done but your going to need to work fast!
Sounds like fun, but I also agree with TRDVibe. A mechanic told me back when I bought my Vibe that you should wait somewhere over 7k miles before switching over to synthetic oil.

Welcome! Sounds like fun and good luck! Do not wait until 7500 miles to change out the syn oil. If you had a car with an engine oil life monitor you would see the life % drop the harder you drove the car. I have a car with one and it is at 88% after being changed out in March. I use Mobil1 oil and trans fluids...My point, check it on a regular basis and depending on how you drive THAT is your gage on when to change it out! Plenty of GM Master Tech and Engineers have told me the oil life monitor is very accurate. Yes you can run them longer but not for 7500 unless you drive like a grandma and on a new engine you should get the original out a lot sooner. I change the original oil on my new engine at 1,500 miles.
Well, the springs are on and I got 2 of the little things out of the way. The Gentex mirror and the center console power. More to come....BTW the spring change kicked my (removed). Dont want to do that anytime again soon.

Just for the official record. 3 Days started Thurday 18th at 8:00am EST, for those that are keeping track. Today the blacked out roof rails should be back on. I almost forgot, I will update the beer consumsion total as well, including beers per mod.
mmmmm beer...O.K. here goes. Got a call today. They said my body kit wouldn't be here until Friday. Yes, I am pissed off. Yes, I am disappointed. So I would like to get an extension. Technically it will be 3 days. Its just impossible to get everything right with shipping and all. No I am not admitting defeat. So here is the official count. black out decals = 2 beersdecals on side = 1 beerroof rails = 5 beers (includes drying time inbetween coats)B&G Sport Springs = 6 beers, 2 for fronts, 4 for rearsgrills black out = 4 beers again, includes drying time .Gentex Mirror = 1 beer Center Console Power = 2 beersSo, If everyone agrees, the clock stops until the body kit and the CAI arrives. PLEASE. Im shooting for Vibe of the Month next month. Come on, PLEASE. BTW thats 23 total thus far. Mostly MGD, the occasional Coors Light. Let Me know.
wow where did you find that mobil1 decal? man do those roof rails look slick. man you need to keep this up you car is smoking and will be on fire after the CAI and Body lit are installed.
