Vynal Eyelids (CLOSE UP PICS)

Post by PHXLavaVibe »

I have been asked on several occasions as to how I made my eyelids. Here are a few close-up pictures I just took that might help out. Most of these pics are of the driver's side eyelid, so bare with me.This one is just a good close up shot so you can see the contours.

here is a shot of the patch work I did to hide the glare of the Top portion of the headlight Housings under the hood. Without doing this the clear part of the housings shows through the space between the hood and lights

Here is a shot with the blinker on to show that although they look really nice...light still shines through them. I tried taking pics with the headlights on but my camera didn't pick up the glow. It gives a creepy evil look at night because the lights make the entire eyelid glow red.

This Vynal material is quite tough and even stands up to the dredded high power car wash...Manual and Automatic. I made my genvibe.com banners out of the same material. These were a pain in the neck to cut out and work them into a straight line. Overall they look nice but up-close you can see how chopy the letters are.

I made these to where they cover very little of the actual headlight area. You should be able to tell how much I actually cover the headlight with the "front view"

Just hit up your local sign/sticker shop and pick up a sheet of self adhesive vynal material. They have just about every color you can imagine and chances are they can match your color pretty close. I got mine (24" x 36") for free from my local shop.

I might be able to draw up some templates and mail it to you, but you would still have to find the Vynal material. I cut mine out of a 24" x 36" sheet of Vynal.
