Hi all,Our 2005 Vibe (Auto) sometimes has a problem of turning over and not starting right away. Now, if we turn the key back and try again, it starts fine.It doesn't do it that often (only 4 times this month). But, it is a bit anoying. We had the dealership check it out last month and there are no codes showing and the throttle body looks fine.Anyway, does anyone have any idea or tips? We started staying away from generic gas companies and sticking to the brands. Since day 1, we have been putting 89 octane. Should we go to 87?Wife is getting an oil change this weekend at the dealer so if anyone has any advice, im all ears. Something we should mention?TIA
my 2003 hasn't had this problem, but it seems as if it happens with the newer ones sometimes. A search here for star* tunred up at least these threads which look like they are about similar problems:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... d?id=15968
You may as well not even worry about it... your dealer won't do anything that can fix the problem. There are many people on here with that exact same issue and I have yet to find anyone that has had it fixed, including myself

My dealer here is really good with things and said that it is a compression/firing issue witht he 05-06 mostly with DBW. That is the only cars he has sen this problem on. Mine doesnt do it too bad since I changed the plugs and had the ecu remapped by the mechanic. try that. If it is under warranty tell them to do it. They can't say no, if they do my mechanic said to call GM and complain about the dealer.
