The Steelers beat my Broncos and the Seahwaks beat my Panthers. So, I don't really care who wins. I just want to see some seriously good, hard football and may the best team win!!!!!
Just because you see Charlie doesn't mean I am a he....sometimes Charlie can be a she!!!!
Most years, the commercials are the ONLY thing worth watching. Way too many games have been total blowouts. If the playoffs have been any indication, Pittsburgh will win by outscoring the Seahawks by 20 or more in the first half and then hanging on for dear life in the second half.

for the first time in MANY years, i'll be happy with either team winning. pitt is a good team that has worked very hard to get to this point.seahawks have also worked hard and are also extremely under-rated. that said, i think pitt will win, but like i said, i'm happy with either (first time since 2001!)
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
being from AK and having the rest of the fam in Sea-tac, i'm gonna have to cheer for the Seahawks. but yes, i always enjoy the commercials and we'll see what happens with the half time show! lol
Awww....don't lie Hope. Phil brainwashed you to cheer for the Seahawks, I know it .

That game was so rigged to make sure the Steelers would win!First indication was the little 'interviews' of the Steelers players during the commercials and all of them were holding the SB trophy. They only had 1 Seahawk interview and he didn't have the trophy. Most of those were in the first half!Second, I can not believe that the replay ref actually called that Steelers touchdown! And the Seahawks touchdown as an incomplete!Man, it's getting to be as bad as wrestling!I am a Steelers fan, but NFL football is starting to be a joke with these refs and their off the planet calls!

It sucks to lose, but hell to have the officals make the calls that they did is plain and simple unfair. It all over every radio station in Seattle. I would rather lose a fair game by 40 then lose a game that was called like that by less then 2 td's. But oh well thats the luck of seattle teams

Yep. That's Bill Cowher and his "terrible chin". lol. Well get used to hating him then. He's a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame now.As for the officiating of the game, there were blown calls on both sides. The controversial Ben Roethlisberger touchdown was a good call; after seeing the play reviews a million times and getting the rules straight it was a touchdown, but just barely. The nose of the ball broke the scoring plane at the beginning of the white goal line while Ben was in the air before being hit and driven back a bit before landing. The first touchdown of the Seahawks that was taken away was not ruled incomplete, it was taken back because of an offensive pass interference call on the receiver. They ruled that he pushed off of the Steeler's defender in the end zone and then caught the ball. I have to admit that it was a weak call and I'm still surprised that it was made. There undoubtedly was contact and probably a bit of a push off, but it didn't seem to be enough to warrant the call. But these calls are being made by the refs on the field and who is to say what they saw in person? That's the nature of the game and the Steelers have been on the receiving end of major blown calls throughout the playoffs. The Seahawks beat themselves. They didn't play their game when they had the opportunity. Two missed field goals didn't help either. And Holmgren's play calls near the end of the game? That still leaves me scratching my head. Hasselbeck was completing his short throws to the outside for almost the whole game. Alexander was picking up the yards on the ground too. The Seahawks didn't play their game of field position and clock control even though they had more than ample chance to. They used designed plays to effectively eliminate most of the Steelers big name defensive players from the game, but the rest of the defense was still strong enough to make the necessary plays. The Steelers' offense was able to effectively use the running game to wear down the Seahawks' defense and also to effectively use a play from their arsenal of gadget plays. The fake WR reverse play where Antwaan Randle El threw the long pass in stride to hit Hines Ward for a touchdown was the backbreaker in the game. After the second handoff to Randle El on that play I think everyone in Pittsburgh knew what was going to be attempted, I find it hard to believe that the entire Seahawks defense didn't suspect the same thing. They should have known about these kinds of plays that the Steelers would probably try long before the game started. But it was still a beautiful and amazing play to watch unfold anyway . (Sorry, I'm a bit biased about that one.)Overall it was a tight game and certainly hard-fought by both teams. When the national sports media finally quit whining about the officiating, we might finally hear some sensible commentary on the game. I find it very interesting that all the whiners that are out there now had nothing to say about the horribly blown calls the Steelers were victimized by throughout this year's playoffs and even some from last year, too.But I'm still glad we won! Finally got that one for the thumb. Gotta start on the other hand now. Art Rooney has already said that this year's championship trophy would be kept separate from the other 4 that the Steeler's won in the 70's. Time to start a new dynasty I suppose!
