RASERMON & TRITON GT--You got me thinking-------

Post by Vibe »

After seeing pictures of you "Spring Mods" and reading the posts and the reports of these springs---I must admit --You got me thinking!!I love the lowered standing height,I always thought the Vibe sits up a little to high. But in the meantime --Let me continue to ponder. If I do this, may I count on your expert help? Of course gratituity included. (Cohocarl & Silverawd 26 --this includes you all as well.)Anyway --Great Job Guys and I hope you will post a long term report after you have road tested yours for a while. James "Vibe"

I'm thinking of getting a set myself. Just been too busy to give Hotchkis a call. How soon were you thinking of getting a set if you do?

Well, rasermon has been thinking about doing a "mod meet" or something like that. I am sure that a couple sets of springs could be done in a day, but I'm not sure how much more could be done. If this is something you would be interested in, let me or rasermon know and we can try and set something up. I would love to help out a couple of members. Return the favors that have been so graciously given to me. I too am considering the Hotckis sway bars as well. We may be getting a discount price soon like we did with the springs.

Well --First I am going to see how the others like there's long term and with my hectic schedule it won't be anytime real soon.I want to go to the next meet and ride in a Vibe that has the spring mod. Then I will make a final decision. James

Thanks James!I just put almost 600 miles on the vibe Sat. to Ohio and back. The springs makes the vibe ride totally different in a good way.

My Vibe has been such a great car. 9,000 miles and never had one complaint or dealer visit that I plan on talking to GMAC and buying it outright. The reason I leased it is because if it turned out to be a piece of s*** then I could turn it in. But I was wrong ,It has been great and I love it and want to keep it. James

That's great to hear that you want to keep it, but how much are you going to have to pay after the lease is up? I hope you're not going to get screwed.

Springs shouldn't effect a lease at all - they'll gladly take your newer better parts on their car when you turn it in - heck, they probably won't notice anyway (I asked when I was going to turn in my BMW with slotted rotors on it - they said no prob)...BTW, there's a few pics of my mono frosty with Eibach Sportlines from the Ohio meet in that thread, if you want to see what a 2" drop looks like. It doesn't ride bad at all!Pete
