Newbie here! Got 2005 VIBE (Got question to ask)

Post by danielal »

Hey guys. I'm new to this forum but at the sametime familiar with the site because I was a member of http://www.vwvortex.com where I used to owned a 2000 Jetta.Anyway, I traded it and got a 2005 Vibe GT. It's my new baby and I love it!!!I was wondering if you guys can help me out. I'm trying to save money to buy some 19's rims but for now, there's this dude who is giving away free Moda wheels.I would like to know if you happen to know if this will fit my Vibe since Im not familiar with the wheel dimension yet. The wheels came from a 1993 GMC Typhoon (Midsize). He mentioned that the bolt patten is 5 bolt on 4 3/4" circle.I figured it wouldn't fit since it's for midsize cars, he said it will fit Camaros & Monte Carlo's. Hope to hear from you guys soon...Danielal

Welcome!!! I don't think those rims will fit though. The bolt pattern is 5X100.

I had 18's on my Jetta with same bolt patten. (5X100) Shucks!!! I should have kept it if I knew Vibe had the same bolt pattern! Anyway, thanks for the reply. It's about half an hour drive to pick up these rims. I wonder if I should pick it still and just sell it for really really cheap! The guy is going out of state and he wants me to take it today otherwise he'll leave it at the curb and hope somebody we'll take it...

Oh haha! Yeah, I'll post some pics soon. I really like the Vibe. One thing I was very impressed was the handling. I spent som much money on my Jetta and I traded it because I wanted a family car since I have a 5 year old and that's the reason why I got the Vibe. I'm probably not going to do much except for putting some 19's and get it tinted. Then again, I said that with my Jetta before and by the time it was all said and done, I spent a little over 9 grand....

Ha, Ha! Once you get the mod bug its hard to stop! Of course, if you put on 19" you will have to lower it.

congrats on your new purchase. VGT is a great car and lots of fun. it's pretty easy to sink in $$$ on any car (speaking from experience).

yes, that's NOT a GT. except for 03, only one 2zz came in an AT and it was an Matrix XRS. no vibe GT's come in AT. that is a base auto vibe.

Hi Tom! Welcome to the site as well. Do you still have a VW? I will miss mine unfortunately, I had major problems with my MK4. I like my Vibe a lot! I'm impress with the smooth riding and it's very roomy inside. Too bad mine isn't a GT although I get about 35 miles per gallon....
