CF A-pillars (right and left) w/ deposit and piece prices.

Post by xrs22 »

I've started a group buy type feeler for these. There in the molding process now, just the A-pillars. I've gotten the left A-pillar in a 1,2 or 3 pod application w/ 2 1/16" pod opening and the rigt side pillar will be plain (no pods). The engine cover will be next, the design for that was to shave down the 16-valve and leave the "VVTL-i" and add "Xrs" but that doesn't apply to you vibbers. So i don't know about that i could see if they can do a "GT" or just leave the "VVTL-i" on there since it's the same platform as the 'yota. Here's the link now http://matrixowners.com/forums...&st=0I wanna start a seperate list but for now this will be for the A-pillars driver and passenger sides. Follow the list breakdown that i've created on the MO.com site so it stays accurate, thanx.

just the left side or ride side too? I'm trying to get them to do a package deal for both pillars. To me one CF pillar just doesn't match unless you have the other one to match to it. Regardless you'll get a cheaper dealer on the 1st batch as opposed to anyone else. I'll put u on the list bro..

Sounds interesting - so basically around $50 + cost of materials?Hmmm.... I think I could be interested in a triple pod left, and plain right.

If you are on this list you will need to go here: http://matrixowners.com/forums...st=60 to confirm you arestill in on the group guy. If you want to be on this list also go there to let XRS22 know you want to get in on it. I belive it is rcasciola, Altus and myself here with the Vibes. Damronjr and Lancer, you may want to check this out also now that you are going to be boosting. The more we get the cheaper it will be.

Is it to late to get in on some 3POD A-pillars and is it my understanding that they are 150 for the right and left.

What is the cost??? I know it's way more than $50 because hte deposit alone is $35 about.I would totally be interested in the three gauge pillar and plain on right side if it were $150 or lower...but the 3-pod pillars are not availible anymore anyways so I gues it doesn't matter (removed).

Deposit hasn't been finalized yet as more people keep joining in. If you want in it will drop even lower. Let xrs22 know on MO.

just a recap. Once i get the total tooling cost since we're not doin' the single pillar set up it may drop the tooling cost a little bit but i don't know how much. Which is good for us that means it's less we have to pay for the deposit(tooling and set up fee). He had to get the measurement from me since i was there fri. just to see where the dash would come up to. Essentially on there side they'll actually be losing money on this deal which again another plus on our side. So those who are on the list pay the deposit and once the product is finished then you'll only be paying the Cf material and resin and no labor costs or any other costs for that matter. He had to do a couple diff. methods to see which one would be less expensive and time consuming for us which is considerate on there part. The plain pillars will come soon after these are complete and should not take as long since they don't have to deal w/ the pods. Any other q's feel free to post or pm me and i'll be swinging by from time to time or use my trusty vibe friends to help me out, thanx.xris-

Well, like I said I am totally interested in the 3 pod pillar but I cannot commit to something if I do not know a total cost since I do not have a steady income...I'll check in to see how hte progress is doing though

Thanks.......Just let me know when I need to send money and where it needs to go. It might take me a couple of days to send it because I am in Iraq and will need to get a hold of my financial advisor (WIFE) to send the money out. I hope Rio and ATR get thaings worked out or the pods will just look cool.

They should have the prototype done but they want the deposits first for the commited ppl. then they'll send it to fresno, ca. and test fit it on my car then i should get pics.. If anything needs to be fixed then they'll do that before they start production. If no problems then it's all a go. I'm starting the list over again so if you want in then let me know.xris-
