People wil burn!!!

Post by Merzbow »

So, I order my Tein S-Techs on ebay two weeks ago. I hope to receive them and have them installed by the Michigan rally. No go. I sent them an email last friday or so and they say "we have not received payment yet we will keep you updated" Ok, fine. I send them another email yesterday after hearing nothing. Their reply: "The S-Tech springs for the Toyota Matrix are on national backorder we can give you full refund or you can wait".I didn't know you could sell stuff on ebay without actually having it in your possession!!!!!!!!!! I am beyond pissed right now. I've wanted these d*mn springs for 2 years now and I finally order them wait two grueling weeks for them to find out I can't have them and also that I'm down $145 until the refund arrives.Sorry I had to vent. I was ready to leave them nasty negative feedback but then i decided to cool down and waittil I call them on the phone and see how willing they are to deal with me. I realize people make mistakes and negative feedback could ruin their rep but I am ticked.I used a money order for the payment, can I take my stub back to the drug store to have them cancel it and get my money back or do I have to wait for the idiots I bought the springs from to send it to me?

Lots of ebay sellers put up auctions for stuff they don't actually own. The items are drop shipped from the manufacturer so the seller never sees them. That's how these guys can sell stuff for a couple dollars over cost. It's works pretty good most of the time, except in situations like yours. The seller has likely cashed your money order, you'll have to wait for a refund.

The exact same thing happened to me on eBay, I tore the guy a new one and got all my money back. I don't know how they can sell stuff when they don't have it.

Just like any store that sells stuff and then orders it after you've paid.

I see where you are coming from, but in my opinion, if you are listing a product on eBay, it should be readily available. I use eBay thinking that the person who is selling this product, has it or can get it shipped to me quickly. If I win an item on eBay and then told I have to wait for it, why wouldn't I just go elsewhere where they have it on stock?

Yeah I hear you. The problem with Ebay now is that companies are using it a lot rather than just the average joe of the street with some junk to sell. So they're working like stores do, but thats not what people expect when its from Ebay.

Bro it sucks! The best advice I can give you is to use PayPal or a credit card. You can always dispute a charge if stuff like this happens.Try Canuck Motorsports on Ebay, they have springs for our cars as well and are not too expensive Good luck bro and keep us posted.

well the guy did say you could either wait or he would give you a FULL refund. sounds like a decent bro to me. full refund is better than store credit, and he also gave you the option of waiting, maybe find out how long you will need to wait, after that if the time doesn't seem bad wait if it's too long for you, kindly ask for a refund. seems decent, no?

(removed)...My dad said the same thing "Maybe alot of people bought the springs at once". There's no way in hell that many people with the Vibe or Matrix ordered Tein S-Techs at one time...NO WAY. Maybe if it was like a civic or an S10 taht's a bit more reasonable but the average driver of these cars are old ladies lol!Anyways, thanks for the alternate suggestion. I'll go check them out I'm going to order it with my credit card this time. Theres no way I'm waiting another two weeks for my springs.I got their contacts from ebay so I gave them a call. BIG surprise, no one answered...I'll send them an email as well.

When I ordered mine last summer for my Vibe, I was told 2 weeks for the set I wanted. I got called back in the second week to be told they were on back order. So they ordered instead for me the Tein S ones for the same price cause they knew I really wanted to get those on by that weekend. Those came in by the end of the week for less money then the original ones I ordered (wish I could remember that brand) and when I picked them up found out just after my order was placed and recieved, all the other Tein orders were placed on back order as well. Lucky for me but yes there is a demand.

lol, well I'm not gonna wait for my refund, I already bid on another set for $7 less than the other ones. I sent the morons my paypal account so they can give me my refund. Now, my paypal ID is my email address right? Also, can I get cash or a check sent from my paypal account so I can have the money? I'm not entirely sure I'll be buying anything from ebay any time soon so I'd rather have the cash.

I have never had a bad experience with e-bay but still have ZERO trust towards it and have never used it lol. The wife has used it I believe but thats all find and dandy for her. Me I like walking into a place and walking out with what I want. Hardly do I order things unless its for the car or a video game and then its from a shop or store. Only once did I order online through IGN.com for a game and though that was fine, I'm cautious with online purchaces.

E-bay is a great place, and it can also be a nightmare. The 3% of idiots are what gives it a bad name. I have made several purchases on there, most with great results. There are a few things I will not buy on there or used in general, and car parts is one of them. Between paypal and ebay most problems can be corrected. Don't let that one bad experience ruin everything. And yes you can have that money either wired into your checking account or issued out to you in a check.

Ok, this new auction doesn't take paypal as far as I know. Being the impatient IDIOT that I am I wasn't paying attention. I would be ok with anotehr money order, however we all know what hapened with the last transaction, secondly, this guy lives in Canada, another country entirely and he wants my credit card number...again, I normally wouldn't have a problem giving it to him, but I have a REALLY bad feeling about this one so I think I'm gonna bite it and take the negative feedback. I'm going up north for a week in a week so I'll deal with it then...THANKS for all your help and support everyone This was not a good experience so I'm glad I could vent lol.
