oh my gosh!...i feel like a kid...just picked up the Vibe fresh from the shop where it received its custom paint job...like glass it is...of course i can't post pics yet because of the monsoons here in Florida...but they will be up as soon as the sun comes around...

Good thing the bugs have eaten into my front bumper, otherwise there would be no paint! Bug snot is more durable than that crappy "paint" they claim to use. (removed)!Anywho, can't wait to see the custom paintjob!

these were taken just after one of the monsoons passed by my house on saturday...i haven't been able to wash it yet, and i just wiped off the rain water, so you won't be able to really see the glass-like finish...look closely and you'll see that i had the mirrors and door handles painted also...they used to be that ugly black platic color...i also had the whole car de-badged nd the roof racks removed (if anyone wants those letme know)...the front end is what i love most...it is so clear and mirror like...when i the sun comes out and i get to wax it (my painter told me to give it two weeks to really settle)...i'll post some really artsy pics...
Wow, I'm impressed! Not at just the color and quality of the paint, but the Vibe overall looks pretty sweet too. I'm sure this paint will be MUCH better than the factory paint. Any idea if the paint problems has been fixed for the '05 Vibes or are they still using the cheap-(removed) paint like they did before?

I so desperately need a paintjob as well done as that...

At one point in time, I heavily considered getting some paint done on mine, but I have since given up on this piece of crap and no way am I going to sink that kind of money into it. (removed)!Maybe the squeaky wheel will get the grease, maybe not... Either way GM/NUMMI/Toyota could care less that they're giving us substandard paint - it's all about the money, i imagine. lol

Maybe he likes the Neptune. *shrug* I know I do...that's why I specifically ordered mine in that color, even though they had the options I wanted in a Salsa two-tone. I would consider painting mine the dark, dark purple that's almost black until it gets in the sun, but otherwise, it would still be blue.
Quote, originally posted by drunkenvibe »the paint looks great, but i have one complaint: for $2k, why not do a custom color?????it is custom...custom neptune blue!...anyway, i had it painted the same color because i like it, and it matches the engine compartment...that would have added considerably to the price to have that painted also...

looks good is that paint on your door lock??? sorry i work at a body shop so i pick things out must be nice to get a quality allover paint job for 2000 at my work they START at like 3000 befor repairs or removing stuff
your paint job loooks good. good shine. don't take it the wrong way.. but those colors. i myself like the 1 main color and maybe an offsetting one. you got deep blue with yellow, and the plastic. i would've also had the rear hatch handle painted as i'm doing this weekend. same color as the body. i like the plastic on the sides. well, mine has the side skirt (2004). i want to see that new 2006 stealth color. i think it would look sweet in two tone.
nice turn out, I'm considering painting my car chameleon orange after i have surgery in 2 weeks. only gonna run me $2500 so i thought that sounded fair enough.
