Small digital clock?

Post by dsegundo »

Anyone know how to get one in the vibe? I need another clock in here. It's rather a long story but I'd like to figure out how to get a digital clock somewhere in on the vibe.

The 05 matrix puts a clock where our passenger seatbelt light is...You can order a new trim panel and clock from toyota...

The Vibe has the defrost button on top, next to the hazard button. The 05 Matrix has it as the tobottom on the left above the A/C. I'm not sure how it connects up to the defrost on the Matrix, but you not be able to connect defrost in your Vibe to the Matrix switches.

The 15 dollar one...how does that attach?I got a new radio and for some ungodly reason it won't display the freakin' clock w/o displaying every other thing attached to the damn CD, radio and everything. I just want something simple and not cluttering my radio. I had been thinking about the Matrix one but wasn't sure and no one that I contacted could help me out. I was thinking of moviing the defrost to the side but I wasn't so sure you could do that or how and stuff. ANyone know?

Actually, if all the connectors are the same on the back, you could probably get away with it. If they group all the side buttons into one connector, as they do now on the Vibe, it won't work. You could:a) Find a Toyota dealer that would allow you to return the bezel and check it out.b) Take your Vibe bezel into a Toyota dealer, explain what you're looking at doing and ask to see the Matrix bezel and compare connectors sockets.Have you tried posting on http://www.matrixowners.com? If a 03 or 04 Matrix bezel can be swapped with an 05 Matrix bezel, then you're good to go.

that 2005 Matrix switch module, the one with the rear defroster switch instead of the dummy third button that we have, that piece alone will cost about $140 from a toyota dealer.
