Date, place, and time for the meet confirmed! YAY!Joe and Louie's afterward! YAY! To save some of the inevitable questions that will probably eventually arise, I'd like to note a few things for people attending the meet.--The dealership is located in an area that is kind of like a REALLY long strip mall. There are gas stations nearby, a few restaurants, a good size hotel, etc. all in the immediate area. Toward the one end of the plaza is a coin operated self car wash with vaccums for the interior and everything so you can clean up the car before the show. As I remember it from last year's meet, everything was nice and convenient. I hope that everyone who can will show up and have a good time.

Is a vibe-trader welcome? because I'll be selling my Vibe shortly and purchasing an Ion Redline, but I didn't make it to last year's and would love to show up this year, just to see some of the Vibes there.

You will be shocked at how many non-Vibers show up to our meet asking about the Vibe. Who knows, you may get lucky.

What about AFTER after plans, like at night?Anyone going to be heading around the I-696/Gratiot Ave. area stop by to go for a cruise between 9 and 11 mile roads. It will be warm and planty of cars on the strip to look at...maybe we can atttract some attention with all the VIbes.

I'll be taking alot of pictures since this is my first one. I might even take a video cam with me to get some action shots. I was thinking of making up a little video with music that I'll post for everyone to view

It gets scared and the paint falls off)On the plus side, I'll also be fixing them at the meet.So you guys can take notes, it you want.

Hopefully they will do some repair work. Some of the side molding is looking like the adheisive is wearing out. Might need to atleast see if a dealership will fix it.

The meet is getting closer and closer...yay! We're going to work out all the details this week and post them in the Michigan forum. With less than a month to go, it will be here before we know it.
In today's Flint Journal there is a short four inch article in the Auto section (page F2) about the Fenton Vibe meet. It also gives the url of this site. One of you is responsible for that, so thanks!
My typing it here will be quicker.------------------Vibe owners set GenVibe meetFenton -- Pontiac Vibe owners will meet on June 25 at Joseph Pontiac in Fenton. The GenVibe event last year drew members from across the Midwest and Canada, and included tuner versions and two custom Vibes from General Motors. There is no registration fee and no admission charge.Joseph Pontiac is at 16555 Silver Parkway.Details: (810) 750-6900 or http://www.genvibe.com. -- James M. Sweet I've allways wanted a shirt but forgot about them.Only a week from Saturday! I've got some surprises coming for me so hopefully they get here and I install them before the meet.
Aight everyone, we have 2 RagingProjects on tap for this year's meet!A) Want to remove the headliner so I can install and permanantly run wiring for my GPS receiver/antenna...similar to how I have my XM antenna installed. I don't need help, but I know some may be curious to see the process for removing the headliner, or perhaps just see behind it (and what possible opportunities might arise from the useable space back there )I DO want someone to time me, however, as I feel I can set a record for fastest time for removal of headliner...I propose it can be done in under 10 minutes. We should see for sure. :-)B) I need someone with some audio expertise (too bad you can't be there Jahntassa) to help me solve my eternally annoying speaker issues...it sounds like just a loose connection at the amp, but for the life of me I can't find it. Would hope someone is coming that knows audio systems better than me...And for the kicker, you ALL get the opportunity to experience what I call the "drugged up clown car" horns I have installed currently. I have talked about them a lot, but never given anyone a chance to hear them. Your chance has come.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
My friend Dima is coming with me and he is pretty handy with car audio...maybe consider him a god. He could take a look at it If someone wants to bring a mobile paint booth we can have MerzbowProject and paint my roof caps (removed)!
do i need to bring some tools for this headliner removal??, if some one wants the dash removed i can say under 7 minutes is my time.LOL

I assume this year you will check in with Nsimkins and/or myself (since I'll have the nametags and he will have the placards). Will wait and see what everyone else has to say about it.

Well, here we go!Ragingfish is leaving the state, I'm beginning my journey in a few minutes.I have GPS nav and wi-fi internet, I'm gonna see if I can nab any wireless signals from the road and check in with y'all..Catch up with you from ohio tonight!

Looks like we have a project to complete at the meet too....putting my under-dash LEDs back in. Took them out in May to get the PCM/cat replacement done so they wouldn't ask any questions...heh...plus they had decided not to work, loose connection somewhere. So we'll be fixing that and reinstalling those. Too bad we won't be able to enjoy them during the day...it looks pretty cool at night. I've completed leg one of my trip and am sitting in James' living room while he tears apart a computer...LOL We'll be heading out around 10 a.m. tomorrow morning for Michigan.
It's 12:30 and ragingfish STILL has not made it to Ohio...after 9 hours of driving. Instead, he's sitting outside a TA travel center with 24 hours of wireless web access that he paid for on here griping to you. WHY?Ask the Pennsylvania DOT. Having construction zones every 10 miles on I-80 that cause traffic to come to a complete dead stop was probably NOT one of their brighter ideas, ya think?I have 2 hours 45 minutes left. Hoping to make it to Elyria preferably BEFORE I have to check out......see y'all in Flint tomo...errr...TONIGHT!

DON'T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN!!!I can't emphasize that enough... someone always gets burnt to a crisp (usually me) each year.If you forget yours, see me at the meet... I'll give you some.sunburn BAD!
