Pic of magnetic bra on 2004 Vibe

Post by FusionFishGuy »

Here is a photo of my recently installed Magnetic Bra on our 2004 Fusion Orange Vibe. It was relatively easy to install and cost less than a normal bra or the OEM one. It will not flop in the wind or let water seep under and damage the paint. So far, we really like it!! It should definitely help stop rock chips. Let me know what you think...

I think it looks good, is it formed to fit the hood or can I just cut a piece of 4" wide magnetic stripping?

That is what fits around the edge and protects from vandalism. You might be able to get something like that somewhere else, but it is important to have.

That's actually quite nice! So does it lay completely flat? How thick is it? Is there just magnetic strips around edge or is the whole thing one big magnetic sheet?I need one of those! quite reasonable as well! Good find!

It does lay completely flat and molds water tight to the hood. It is only about 1/16" thick and is a complete magnet sheet.

Very nice. If I didn't have my hood guard, I would consider one.

I have one on a 2002 Impala, just pulled it off to clean following the winter and there's a little dirt under it. But, nowhere near what would be under a traditional bar or mask. On my Vibe, had I not come across the Perfect Fit deflector, I would have put a Magnetbra on.

Also, have you noticed a haze on the hood underneath the bra after you remove it? Just curious.

I have a couple of small "bubbles" at the left and right sides where the hood steps down. The Mbra does its best to conform to the shape of the hood and lies down well in warm/hot weather. Don't let my comments put you off, its a good product and protects the hood. No problem with the paint hazing under the cover. Just take the Mbra off once or twice a year, clean everything well and put a good coat of wax on the hood. Armor All works pretty decent on the exposed surface of the Mbra.

So where do you purchase the perfect fit deflector I keep hearing about. I have the magnetbra but think I like the perfect fit deflector better. Thanks
