The Seriousness that is road rage (hope admin doesn't mind this)

alright folks lets keep this a little less heated and discuss experiences and thoughts about it but no more bashing people for their views/opinions onthe subject.I have 1st hand experience with road rage. Me and my younger brother (14) were on our way home when a guy came up behind me with his high beams on, I'm already doing 80, so i pull out of the passing lane and the guy follows suit and rides my (removed) for the next mile so i said screw it and took off, let off at 100 and went back to cruising at 80... the next thing i know the guy flies up on my (removed) almost rearending me, then swerves into the passing lane and then cut me off seriously 2 inches from my bumper, so i slammed on the brakes, dropped it into second and passed the a**hole. Well while i'm passing he decides it'll be nice to swerve back into my lane forcing me onto the shoulder/median i finally get past him and am gone held it stron at 110-115 and left him, he saw me exit and proceeded to follow me. The only reason i got away was because i had my baby (GT) and he was in an f-350 4x4 and didn't know the road and couldn't maneuver the curves. so yeah road rage is quite funny especially when it was one of the scariest nights of your life! not throwing a pissy fit and mav and raging cause i honestly laughed at some of it. but it is taken to the extreme way too much in our countries (us/canada) to road rage

Not a prob at all there dude. I for one believe that road rage is not a good thing. Sure I am not innocent by any means as you obviously saw by some of my earlier posts. Glad you got a laugh out of some of them. Usually when on the highway I try to draw as little attention to myself as possible, if someone comes up fast behind me in the passing lane, I pull into the slow lane as soon as its clear and let him by. With my limo tint, highbeams do not bother me in the least heh.But aside from the flashing my highbeams at people who cut me off like they are in such a huge hurry only to crawl down the road once they are in front of me, I don't do much about it other then steam up the inside of my car. I experienced road rage once, it was a friday night and me, my brother and my buddy were leaving a club. This jeep pulls up behind us with their lights on blinding us from the reflection in our mirror. My brother who was driving turned his mirror up so it reflected out of our face and we pull out in a left turn onto the road. The jeep whips out behind us, guns it past us and cuts us off into the curb. Some hot shot jumps out yells things I won't write here and starts pounding on the driver's mirror. The main idea was he could not help it his lights were so high and my brother when he had turned the mirror up had reflected the light back into his face. Well I climbed out of the car with a tire iron and my buddy hopped out of the back seat.Mr angry man backed up as we stood around and discussed now rather civilized what had taken place. I was not about to beat the hell out of him like he was doing to the mirror but we ended up going our ways without any further incident. But I think people that drive like morons to (removed) people off deserve the rage coming to them.

I remember when my brother was driving his 95 Chevy Monte Carlo Z34, two guys in a Prelude flipped us off and started riding our tail. As we turned down our road, they swerve their car to come real close to hitting ours and swerve back on the road. My brother (Being the hotheaded person he is) Said hell no, and whipped the car around and took off after them. We ended up going pretty darn fast (Considering it was residential and the turns were all 90 degrees) and both cars pulled over. The two guys in the prelude were all ready to fight until they saw us get out. 5 guys, me being the smallest one at like (Then) 5'9. The others were all at least 5'11, my brother being well over that. After not a lot of thinking, they hopped in their car and took off and my brother didn't pursue them. (This was like 3-4 years ago)

I think there is usually a way to get back at people without resorting to violence. A friend of mine and me were riding in his truck. An older Blazer with a lift kit and super loud exhaust. Some woman cut him off while talking on a cell phone. It being summer she had the window down on her car and instead of getting pissed and yelling obscenities we changed lanes and got beside her and proceded drive in second gear around 4500 rpm with the exhaust right at her window. Drove along side of her for about seven blocks like that until she changed lanes and got behind us. It was pretty funny.

I would like to say first, this is why I do NOT carry a paintball gun in my car. I'm already close to killing myself when I tap the brakes as someone's riding my rear. That's a suck story though... I can't believe that guy would follow you so long!
