Petty Thief"

Post by cool vibes »

I went over to the car wash yesterday, washing my vibe and noticed that some low life took my chrome valve caps off two of my wheels.i bought these cheap parts at Walmart to add appearance to the wheels. i guess it doesn"t pay to buy nice things for your car and have someone rip it off this was not the first time i have something cheap taken i sent my truck in for sevice and someone grabbed a $2 visor clip sunglass holder off the truck visor i had.

I guess if you stole the nut cover back from the guy who stole it from you, then it was a reasonable thing to do.But if you simply lowered yourself to the level of the original thief and passed on your irritation to another innocent, then consider yourself one of the petty thieves the original post was complaining about. It IS a shame there are such ill-mannered and disrespectful people out there stealing and vandalizing other people's property. But the problem doesn't get better when you add yourself to the guilty. It gets worse. My truck got demoted to parking on the street when I got my Vibe. It has been the target of neighborhood (teenage boys) vandals two or three times. What do I do? I call the police, mention the crime to all my neighbors, and encourage them to police their children and watch the streets more carefully since their cars are likely (have also been) next. Then I clean up or repair of replace whatever was damaged or stolen. And I try to make it a little more work for the culprits should they try it again. The video camera I have pointing at my truck seems to have helped (since I mentioned it to the neighbors). So being a victim doesn't mean you have to be a thief or a vandal to get even. There is eventually justice for everyone. Sometimes it just doesn't come when you'd like it to. The Kid who shot my truck with paintballs was eventually caught doing the same thing to a police car. His stupidity caught up with him. He's now locked up until his parents can come up with $20,000 as bail, and will have to dig up probably more for legal fees to keep him out of the state prison. It took me ten minutes to wash the paint off the truck.KSNeptune
