You got to be kidding me i took my vibe in for a free oil change went in to the parts counter to ask for 1 wheel nut bang $22.00 each, you got to be kidding me, i said forget it
I found a part number for the lugnuts that go to the aluminum wheels.it is 88972745. Called the dealer and the price is 10.50 each. You can get them at the GM parts direct website for $6 and some change.Ed
It is true!!!I'm back from my dealer and the wheel nuts are $22 each!I took a look at a Corolla S in the parking lot and the wheels nuts seems to be the same. I'll call Toyota dealer to check price of wheel nut for Corolla and Matrix. For sure it cannot be more expensive then the GM ones.
Get a set of McGuard Mag standard shank locks for $25, get 4 mag washers $1. Place on wheels, take three extra wheel nut, place in bin below shifter $free, not having to buy a $22 dollar until I'm dumb enough to lose three more....Priceless

Its a pretty complicated wheel nut as wheel nuts go, and seeing as it is still a proprietary part looks like we will pay through the nose for the really important part. Look for Raybestos to have one soon!

so i went to shucks today to get a set of chrome lugs for my blacked out oem 16's. i wasnt sure what size to get. so i looke din there little book, of course it only went to 2001. it said toyota has had the same size lugs since the 70's. so i went with 12-1.50 if i recall. anyone know the right size? i paid $25 for enough for teh whole car.

I take that back. I searched for the info and I've gotten conflicting information. One source says M12-1.25 while another says M12-1.5If I find out for sure I'll let you know.
I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier but I checked the bag that my wheel lock lugs came in and it says the lug size is M12-1.5, so you're OK after all.
